Gift for recently bereaved lady in her early 70s

Just that really. I normally send a wee hamper thing to her and her husband, but it's just her this year and the bereavement is very recent. I know she's had lots of flowers from family and friends and not sure if she will want more. She doesn't drink any more, has some health problems so not very mobile. Hamper won't work for her alone. Budget around £20 ish and needs to be delivered.

Could look at getting either some personalised jewellery or picture of something that means something to her and late husband? You can get necklaces with birth stones in for example. Or you could look on Etsy for a drawing of a place they used to go together? When my grandma died we got my grandad a drawing of Scarborough as that's where they used to holiday for example?

I also saw today a personalised paint by numbers which I've got my for grandad. He'd rather make his own!

Thanks, I can't see her doing colouring to be honest, she likes to watch tv most of the time! Especially soaps. I don't really know where would be special to her as they always liked to go to different places until they got a dog and wouldn't travel as they wouldn't put it in kennels. Dog is no longer there either (his dog not hers and she wouldn't like dog related gifts!). When she was younger she used to ask for vodka, fags and a dressing gown for Christmas and that was genuinely what she wanted. She's such a tricky person to buy for but is such a genuine person I'd love to think of something nice for her.

Jewellery might be a good call as I don't think anyone else would buy her any.

I've just bought a lady in her late 70s a crystal suncatcher from notonthehighstreet which was 17.99 and looks lovely. Not to everyone's taste, but I would love one myself, and they're easy to hang and move

What about something simple for her plant and enjoy watching it grow in the spring, a kit of hyacinth with a jar, or an amaryllis with a pot? You’d get that within your budget.

Or a letterbox package of brownies? Marks & Spencer do them for about £20. I sent some to my son who said they were delicious.

I've just ordered her a family tree necklace with her grandchildren names on off Etsy so thank you SliceofcakeCupofTea!!
