Shops like John Lewis / Heals for stuff for kids' rooms?

Posh shops, basically! I'm helping my mum with her Christmas shopping and she basically buys most things in John Lewis.

She likes quality and good design. Stuff I usually can't afford, basically, so I'm not sure where else to suggest!

She wants to get stuff for my DCs' bedrooms. Where would you shop for that kind of good quality design? Maybe some smaller boutique / indy shops I've never heard of?

Thanks :)

Great Little Trading Company? Or Little Home at John Lewis is fairly limited but there’s some nice stuff.

This stuff is really lovely, thank you! But it's mostly for babies and toddlers.

Sorry, I should have said, my DC are 8 and 12, I'm not looking for baby stuff.

Does make me wish I had a baby to buy it for though, so many lovely things!

Sorry OP I agree with your mum, John Lewis is the place to go lol!

The 12 year old could have adult furniture. For the 8yo…
IKEA
Because Swedish design is really focussed on dcs needs. Ergonomically and aesthetically. Mum who shops in Heals won’t like the faff though!

What are you looking for? Beds and desks or bed linen shelves etc.

Bed linen, rugs, maybe very small furniture - small touches rather than the big stuff, basically.

And anywhere you can buy online would be great - DM isn't up for shopping trips these days.

Zara Home actually has some really nice things in their children's section.

Check out these lockers
I have a small one as my bedside table. They come in lots of bright colours with a little key and you can also get alphabet magnets (from their website or elsewhere) so the kids can have fun with and personalise them.

We're doing up my daughter's room at the moment and have got some lovely stuff from La Redoute.

I love the White Company children's bed linen, particularly the gingham and the brushed cotton they usually do each winter. (I actually have some on my bed atm, it's v good)

ASpace is good for bedroom things/toy storage, quite like GLTC.

Loaf have a few bits, as do Cox & Cox.

Depending how, ahem, vibrant your childrens' tastes are (my DD is a maximalist who would give Frida Kahlo and Zandra Rhodes nightmares!) then Maisons du monde and vertbaudet have colourful things for children, but the quality isn't top notch (prices usually much lower though than JL, GLTC etc). That said, children's things don't usually need to last decades as they grow out of them rather than wear them out often.
