Is there such a thing?Xmas Grin

Ive been feeding mine weekly since it was made at end of oct. 2-3 tbsp per feed Blush with cointreau. Fed from top then on last feed turned it over and feeding what was the bottom .
Its not wet/soggy or anything, in fact i sprinkled more on the last time as the cake sucked it up like a sponge!
Now am worried it might be too strong and taste awful. Obvs i wont know til its cut into to eat at christmas.
I should add that theres a full 50cl bottle of cointreau in there between the soaking the fruit then feeding to now.BlushBlush
Should i keep feeding or stop?

Operating your title, my first thought was "is it possible".
Ignore what went in the batter. Maybe slow down a little of the frequency but I cant see how it will be awful.
Mine took about 100mlof brandy last time I fed it - but I've forgotten to do it several times!

Nah. You can’t overfeed a Christmas cake. Just maybe consider anyone who might be driving after eating a slice… Grin

It won't be awful, but maybe slow it down a little and do 2 nights of normal 2-3 tbsps feeds nearer to christmas to wake it back up (or knock it out) And don't drive after eating it!

Thank god. Was worried i had made a rather expensive mistake lol.
Might just give one last go this week then leave it til ready to ice it.

I overfed mine last year. It tasted fine (I love a boozy cake!) but it was very very soggy.
