Just having a look through the Radio Times.
Looking forward to The Girl Before - I read and enjoyed the novel years ago.
Great to see the Alastair Sims Scrooge is on on the 18th.
Anything you are looking forward to watching?

Mary Berry's Festive Feasts might be good for a bit of inspiration... (on the 20th - food shop comes on the 22nd)

I picked up the TV times today but it only goes from 11th to the 17th so, so far, it’s;

Scrooge with Albert Finney (11th, BBC2)
Christmas Magic at Kew Gardens (14th, Channel 5)
Christmas at Castle Howard (15th, Channel 4)
Walking with Jim Moir (17th, BBC2)

I can’t stand Jim Moir but I love the area he’s walking through in this episode.

The Radio Times which covers Christmas is out now!

Where is Jim Moir walking?

Bloody Asda! I didn’t even notice the date until your thread reminded me we’d bought it.

He’s walking around Dungeness with a trip on the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch railway.

Shamelessly watching this thread for festive inspiration. I always look forward to some obscure channel showing 80s classic Flight of the Navigator, watching that is a Christmas tradition in our family, for reasons lost to the mists of time ..

@Bellafrenum - Oh I love Albert Finley as Scrooge - my favourite Christmas film and version of it. What time is it on?

I nearly got tricked too, in Sainsburys.

I love Dungeness!!

@Bellafrenum Isn’t it glorious? It has got to be one of the strangest places I’ve ever been. Have you been on the railway? Fish & Chips at the Pilot then up the coast to Reynolds Ice Cream van, (who are currently doing mince pie ice creams) in Lydd if you’ve got any room left!

Bellafrenum · 05/12/2021 21:15

Yes it is a bit of a tradition with my sister and nephew, we go one stop then back again - love it! My nephew climbs to the top of the lighthouse every time but it always beats me.

Really looking forward to watching it - good spot.

@Bellafrenum Have you seen Paul O Grady’s Great British Escape? It’s on Sky until 31st December and in Episode 2 he’s exploring the RSPB reserve there and wandering about with Alpacas on the Marshes. The whole series is Kent based.

@Inastatus The Albert Finney version is on BBC2 at 13:45

Inastatus · 05/12/2021 21:38

@Bellafrenum and @Sn0tnose - thanks. I’m going to watch them both 😀

We bumped into Jim Moir having lunch at the Pilot a while ago. I shall get a big red pen and circle his show.
