Is it?

Do they remember who buys them things?

I do have a tin of Roses here but think everyone is buying them !

Not to mentioned dh has only been working a few weeks and one of those was a lie week so, money is a wee bit tight tbh!

A homemade card from the DCs will be just as welcome - (probably more!)

I don't know. We compromised by getting a very small but fancy box of Lindt choccies, from Sainsburys for 89p...then wrapping it up prettily for Ds to proudly give her. The thought counts I think, I am very grateful to her for being so good with him this term and wish I could afford more, but at least she knows Ds likes her and wanted to give her something small.
We also sent in a big carrier bag full of crisps we had been saving from multipacks, over the last few months, this was our contribution for the party. I hope nobody minded that it wasn't something bought specially.

I think we may make her something, DS2 nursery closes tomorrow so we shall have to be quick!

DS1 I may be able to get his Teachers [job-share] some wine...

I dropped dd2 off at nursery this morning and watched other mums handing over fab prezzies to the staff

Now, this got me thinking, because I had never even given a thought to buying them a present! So, I asked one of the other mums and she said that it is expected that you will buy something for the nursery teachers as your child leaves nursery to go to reception at the school. A lot of the kids are starting school in January so what I am seeing are "leaving" presents rather than "Christmas" presents and it is NOT expected that a child that only started in September will buy presents for the teachers already.

(which was a big relief, because I think I've finished my shopping!)

Oh dear i haven't bought anything. I saw the teacher receive several wrapped presents today and did wonder. It's not been the most fantastic term so i don't feel particularly inclined to go and buy a present - although i do like the teacher. [scrooge emoticon]

Oh DS is there for another year and half.

Although he has his own "teacher" or "lady" as DS calls her, all the ladies really like DS2 so I feel a bit bad just buying for one.

I could however get away with making them all a nice card and buying his lady some chocolates, she does not look like she drinks. [old school teacher type]
