So how do I wrap up a swim clinic?

I've bought competitive swimmer DS aged 11 a place on a swim clinic with Olympic Swimmer Joe Litchfield for Christmas but how exactly do I present this on Christmas Day. He's still only 11 so still quite likes unwrapping things but even if I bodge up some sort of ticket/voucher for it thats still quite boring thing to open isnt it. Any one with more imagination than me got any good ideas?

Box with voucher, new swim towel, swimmers and goggles like a swim themed hamper?

Could you wrap it up with some new swim equipment? Not sure how much this costs to know if it's feesible.

I usually wrap tickets up in a record or book etc from the band or comedian they are for.

Wrap it up in layers like pass the parcel with layer of paper in between. A new towel, his favourite shampoo, a swimming hat and finally the voucher.

My DD liked those gift balloons that you need to pop to get into, our balloon shop does Christmas versions and you could have a towel and new swim wear etc in it too.

Buy a pair of arm bands. Inflate and put voucher inside. Wrap arm band?

These are good suggestions. Most of his other presents are actually swimming equipment type things so easy enough to put together something. The problem is it will actually make the number of presents look a bit smaller. It was so much easier when they were little and you could get some big plastic things from BandM!

^ that!!

Or check out if he needs anything new for the day!

My nephew swims competitively & he's always needing a new 'dry wrap' or 'dry coat' , different goggles & hoodies etc.

A huge box with balloons in it, coins in all but one, with a 'token' in one with the voucher.

I'm sure he'll be made up, no matter how you present it 😊

Will he get a picture of him and the swimmer and an autograph maybe? You could put the voucher in a frame to wrap up and then replace the frame with a picture of them both? Might be not exciting enough for a child though!

languagelover96 · 29/11/2021 20:32

A box is fine. Buy non popping balloons, some chocolate coins etc.

Palavah · 29/11/2021 20:32

Can you get a sealable plastic box, put a printout of the voucher in a sealed ziploc bag, fill the box with water and put the bag in the box, seal, wrap (in clingfilm if desired) then tie with ribbon.

Yes there is autograph opportunities I thought maybe of trying to print off a photo of the swimmer to take with him to get signed but like you say I'm not sure if that would be that exciting for him at the time of unwrapping.

You can get present reveal scratch cards

YerAWizardHarry · 29/11/2021 20:34

Could you do a treasure hunt round the house with the final prize being the voucher? I’ve done with his gig tickets before. You can find ready made clues online that you can tailor to your house

PPCD · 29/11/2021 20:49

Etsy do personalised scratch cards

indecisivewoman81 · 29/11/2021 21:00

What about getting a signed photo of swimmer in a frame and putting a voucher for the swim clinic with it?
