This made me so mad, I've spent most of this week searching the town/internet for anywhere that might still have Nintendo DS's in stock. It's all ds has been after, he wanted one last year too, and this year I thought I'd splash out and get him what he really wants. After finally today admitting defeat I thought I'd give ebay a quick look, although I knew the prices on there would be ridiculous, then I find so many sellers like this one:

It's made me so mad, people bulk buying the popular toys and selling them on for huge profits It's so mean spirited and selfish, like sod everyone else at christmas time, all those people out there who are desperately searching and all the shops are out of stock mainly because of people like this.

Those on ebay were not made for UK market though, if you read the details. So he hasn't affected the supply within UK.

they're still easily available in Ch. I even offered to bring a couple over at non profit and no one took me up on it! Treat yourself to a weekend in basel or zurich, drink some mulled wine, enjoy the christmas market and stock up on wiis and ds lites and flog them yourself on e bay for huge profit

It doesn't always pay off though

Things are terribly mercenary this year. My sister unsuccessfully tried to order a Wii some weeks ago from a popular catalogue. Yesterday she received a letter from them asking if she was still after a Wii (!), which they were now able to supply only as a package with some other old rubbish, all for the price of ....£499!!! Unbelievable.
Have to admit to feeling very happy that we have not been in the market for any computer gamey kind of things this year. Groovy Chick bikes were not in short supply, and neither were Walkman phones, thank god.
