Where to buy frozen pastries in bulk?

A bit random but we are having family to stay cover Xmas so there will be 10 of us. I was planning on getting a big selection of frozen croissants, pana chocolate, Danish pastries and and wondered if it’s possible get them in larger quantities than the supermarket sell them - does anyone have any experience of this?

I’ve had a look online and even emails a company than sells to hotels but not heard back.

Costco maybe? Have seen pastries there in the past.

M&S have them, croissants, pain au chocolat, raisin danishes. IKEA for cinnamon buns.

Do you really want a catering size box? Is it for one morning?

Id just buy a couple of bags of each of the Waitrose ones. I'm sure they do bags of 6 croissants, 6 pain au Chocolat and then a mixed bag of pastries in the freezer section. 2 each of those?

Makro? You might need to get a card.

QueenOfCakeandCoffee · 26/11/2021 16:24

@JuneOsborne it’s for more than one night

Have you got a field fare stockist near you? Usually garden centre/farm shop type places. Their croissants are the best frozen ones I've had.

I have seen Costco been mentioned a lot on MN been good for bulk buying .

Do they have to be frozen? Or can you go to a big supermarket the evening before and buy them , you may even be able to get them on the reduced shelf .

This is the company I order things from for big parties

I put it down to them having vanilla pods on offer the first time I needed a wholesale supplier

Agree there’s only 10 of you… don’t go mad!
I agree with getting a few bags of the mini mixed ones from waitrose - they have plain croissants, pain au chocolat and pain au raisin. 12 mini ones per pack I think.

Shakinstevensisquestionable · 26/11/2021 16:31

Pana chocolate Grin sorry

Costco definitely.

Tesco do amazing frozen almond croissants, we have them all the time and love them.

DockOTheBay · 26/11/2021 18:46

Field fare are lovely and you can just buy as many as you need, plus they're small in the freezer but puff up a lot when you leave them to prove overnight.

However for 10 people you would only need a maximum of 20 pastries, so I would just buy 4x 6 from waitrose/asda/aldi

Minorissue · 26/11/2021 19:00

Waitrose do nice mixed bags of them- we usually get those

KittenCatcher · 26/11/2021 19:04

Iceland do them

QueenOfCakeandCoffee · 28/11/2021 23:41

I went down the Waitrose route, thank you for the suggestions x
