Home made soup (using Kallo gluten free stock cubes - it says gluten free on the box). Gluten free bread made into croutons (best bread in my opinion is Schar). Cooked meat, smoked salmon, cheeses, rice crackers. Look at the list of ingredients. Any allergens such as wheat, barley, rye and oats and gluten must, by law, be highlighted (in bold). This makes life easy. Follow with gluten free mince pies from the Free From aisle (found in any supermarket) served with cream. Keep gluten free foods completely separate from normal food but tbh most people will happily eat the gluten free versions so I'd just keep everything gluten free.
I'm coeliac and on a very strict gluten free / wheat free diet. If I can be of further help, let me know.

Rice is gluten free as are potatoes. Meat and veg are gluten free. Use gluten free stock cubes and remember soy sauce contains gluten (unless gf). Personally I would do a chilli, serve with cheese and guacamole

We always have boiled ham, jacket potatoes and parsley sauce 😋

My son is coeliac so we will be having gluten free meals over Christmas as normal. We usually do a gammon on Christmas eve, Nigella has a good recipe with orange marmalade, and it's nice served with potato dauphinoise.

We normally have a fish and chips takeaway on Christmas Eve and ceoliac dd has an alternative to the fish but that's just our tradition

Ooh yes ham.

Can I ask a stupid question (that I could possibly Google) is cornflour gF?

Tesco Cornflour is definitely gluten free. What is extremely helpful to know is that if you look at the list of ingredients on the back of any packaged food, common allergens have to (by law) be printed in bold, so watch out for wheat, rye and barley. In the free from section of every supermarket you will find gluten free oats and products made with gluten free oats. They are safe to eat for the majority of coeliacs. But don't use oats in the 'completely normal' food aisle as they will have been milled in a factory which handles wheat. One more thing - under the list of ingredients you may also see something along the lines of 'This product may also contain....'. If it says it may also contain wheat, don't use it. Some coeliacs are super sensitive. Years ago, as a newly diagnosed coeliac, I ate 4 smarties not realising they contained gluten. Put me in bed for a few days.... Life is simpler now because of the new laws on labelling!

If you want a GF pudding Nigella’s clementine cake is easy and always very popular.

Yes cornflour is gluten free and makes excellent Yorkshire pudding/toad in the hole batter.

What would you usually have?

If you are making from scratch the world is your oyster. I've not found anything I can't make gluten free.

Raclette - fun, social and simple, served with charcuterie, cornichons, pickled onions, salad and a home cooked ham, if you want. If you get a raclette machine with a hot stone on top you can also cook thinly sliced meat and vegetables like mushrooms or peppers. It's nice to have a night off from cooking!

A GF Yule log would make a nice pudding or you could go the whole hog with "serve yourself" and have a chocolate fondue.
