It's for houses without much space I suppose
I have a slim tree which looks less strange than half a tree.
You get upside down trees too!

upside down tree

TurnUpTurnip · 14/11/2021 15:02

Oh wow upside down tree 😬 I was reading some of the reviews and a few people didn’t realise it was only half a tree despite the name!

Argos does them as well, they even do one that's basically a stick with the top half of the Christmas tree attached, it looks weird.

This is pitiful and expensive!

It's so you can push it further into a corner to safe space surely? Good idea if you're struggling for room.

FourTeaFallOut · 14/11/2021 17:47

^^Grin What is that tree good for? I suppose you spun that upside down it could double as a festive loo brush Grin

I have had a half tree for years - they’re nothing new. Mine is quite full and bushy, but it’s amazing how much space it saves being flat against the wall in my small room. It enables me to have a much taller and (apparently) bigger tree than I could otherwise have. Looks absolutely great .

I was just thinking ‘I bet some people get a surprise when they open the box’ then saw the review Grin

I bought a half tree for my oldest sons bedroom when he was in primary school.
He's now in his thirties & my youngest has the tree in his room for December.

It's a 4ft tree & can be hung on the wall (complete with half a basket base & if you want you can stand it on a tabletop or the floor.

They've been around for at least 20+ years that I know of.

It looks brilliant when decorated & doesn't really take up all that much space, plus after Christmas I just take it off the wall, drop the plug for the lights into the basket along with the star from the top & squash it back into it's box with all the decs on it.

Our artificial tree is about 20 years old. Each branch slots on individually. We always leave the bottom back branches off so the tree can fit into the corner in the hall. You can't tell from the front.

DappyApple · 14/11/2021 21:26

Yep i do the same @bigbluebus, in my kitchen it’s the only way I can fit it into the corner of the kitchen as the tree is bigger than the space I have.

Regarding half trees they’ve been around as long as I can remember, but would be reluctant to pay those kind of prices for 1/2 a tree!

QuornSausagesAreTheDevilsPenis · 14/11/2021 22:01

You'd need a second one on the other side of the wall in exactly the same place imo.
