why not recycle? Just cut old envelopes etc into strips.

we used to save big areas of solid-ish colour from magazines specially

if not, the 'bumper craft paper' type packs from pound shops / wilkinsons / the works etc are normally pretty good value

B&Q and Homebase - the wall paper bit where you can take 'unregulated' free samples! Very useful for all kinds of things.

  • posh wrapping paper
  • covering shoe boxes to make nice storage boxes
  • greeting card scraps
  • scrap book scraps
  • scribble pads for toddlers to scrawl on
  • laminated for place mats....

...i could go on...but I am aware I sound like an extra from 'Blue Peter'

but its my favourite freebie (the wall paper sample section)! (yes...I know, I need to get out more)

WOW - free wall paper sections, NOW that is a great idea, why did i never think of that while DD1 was at school, needing her books covered!!

I got a mahusive pack of multi coloured paper from THE WORKS enough to make paperchains for the entire street - for a POUND!!

I think the magazine idea is great, even if its not solid i would think you would get a great effect, im off to get snipping
