I have jars of chutney and bags of fudge to give as presents. Should I juts put ribbon round or wrap them up or what? What do you all do?
It's my first year making gifts so I want them to look special!

a sheet of shimmery cellophane tied with a ribbon?

Get lots of tissue paper in different colours - if you can get that coloured cellophane that's even better on top. Stand the jar on several different coloured squares of tissue, then gather it up and tie with a contrasting ribbon above the lid (so it sort of looks like a tissue pineapple ). I always wrap jars like that, it looks very pretty.

Cellophane bags tied with ribbon for the fudge and raffia round the top of the chutney jar.
Large labels with storage instructions and christmas wishes tied on and glittered by the children!Thats how mine will be done anyway

Like those ideas.
Do some of you not wrap them then and just leave it obviosu what it is? I have Lakeland plain jars and lids for the chutney with home printed labels and their christmas bags for the fudge.
I have got some silver star gift tags and sivler ribbon I was going to tie round the neck, could I just leave it like that?

Although I do like Lapin's idea, even if it means going out and buying stuff to wrap an I am trying to do 20 people's pressies for under £40 inlcuidng wrapping, and I am at £35 already!
