Toddler stocking fillers

Thought it would be good to have some suggestions of stocking fillers for under 3's . DD is almost 2 and lots of little toys have to be ruled out as she's still likely to put them in her mouth and give them a chew!

I've got her these flashcards: www.jojomamanbebe.co.uk/d6131.html will probably pick up a kinder bar and an orange but haven't had any further inspiration as yet.

When mine were that age bath toys especially ducks, little happyland figures, noisemakers, instruments especially bells, little pot of playdough, chunky markers/crayons, mini aqua doodle, cars, carton of smoothie drink.

In my kids stockings DS4 and DD1 I’ll be putting a new sponge, bath spray foam, new toothbrush, Christmas socks, chocolate coins, satsuma.

Boots are doing an organix selection box which will be in my little girls stocking. A packet of melty sicks (her favourites), a couple of Lanka kade animals and a rubber duck

If you buy any toys in cardboard boxes, take them out of the boxes and the flipping wire things they hold them in place with before you wrap them.

Colin hot chocolate stirrer
Chocolate coins
New crayons
Stickers
Sparkly hair clips

I’d not put loads in to be honest they get really overwhelmed by Christmas at that age and she’ll have plenty to open

Bubble bath
Rubber duck
Bath crayons
Expandable flannel
Cuddly toy
Wooden name letters for her bedroom door

Silly headband (antlers or similar)

New cup or water bottle

DD will have just turned 2 a week or so before Christmas.

She's getting in her stocking;

Bubbles.
A pack of BeBe biscuits, they're in the world foods aisles and are about 20p for a little pack of 3-4.
A small chocolate of some sort.
A satsuma (her favourite)
A finger puppet of some sort. I will crochet one. Might be a crocodile.

That's enough to keep her occupied for a little bit I think.

Hat and gloves or ear muffs
Wooden trapeze toy
Festive tights
PJs
Book
Water flutes
Bird water whistle
Sensory toys

Mine is almost 2 and probably getting

Bubbles
Pack of ducks for the bath
Chocolate coins
Satsuma
Matchbox car
Crayons

That's pretty much what my older one got at that age and all went down well

Have you got any Lanka kade wooden figures? There are so many to choose from, they do Christmas ones too. Loads of different sites sell them (my favourite is babipur) and they are only around £3 each 🥰 my kids have loved them for years.

tinytoucan · 09/11/2021 00:14

I think I’ve got a bit too much for DD’s- it’s the danger of buying early, I forget what I’ve got!

She has some Lanka Kade and happy land figures, a toothbrush, a couple of bath toys, a rag doll, a whistle, and a clacky instrument thing. I usually put chocolate coins a satsuma and some bubble bath in too but I think she may already have enough! Trouble is I think DS is old enough to remember the tradition so may question why she doesn’t have them. May need to relegate some bits to birthday pressies in a few months!

Wow some great ideas here, thanks! DD's birthday is just after Christmas so this will be helpful Smile

To those who said don't get too much to open I definitely agree. Last year we opened the stocking in the morning, a couple in the afternoon and opened the rest of her presents over the next week which she seemed to enjoy. I'll do the same again this year (while she's still too young to object Grin)
