a bike

sundew · 12/12/2007 15:32

Does she have a baby annabell - the best money I have spent on a present for both my dds (now 7 and 3.5)

walkinginawinterBundleland · 12/12/2007 15:33

sorry should have said what she already has, which includes:

hand me down bike from dd1
scooter
smallish castle/dolls' house (but could be too small so am considering another better one but pref not £100 ones..)
plenty of barbies

sundew, we have lots of dolls, is an annabel really that different?

vsmile

sundew · 12/12/2007 15:40

wwb - my girls much prefer their Annabells to their other dolls - but the accessories are extortionate! My dds have played with theirs most days since they were bought last christmas. If your dd likes dolls then they are a good present IMO.

bagpuss · 12/12/2007 15:41

Ponyville sets. Some of them are quite big but not as big as a normal dolls house type thing. Also Animal Hospital is good and can be stored away fairly easily when not in use. I would also go for a Leapster over V-Smile. We bought dd a V-Smile last year at 4.5 and it hasn't really been played with as much as I would have thought. Games very few and far between too.

oljam · 12/12/2007 15:42

I'm going with the Vsmile, bought it for my son last Christmas when he was 4.5, he loves it and doesn't even realise he's learning his letters. DS2 aged 3 is pretty good on it too. You can get second hand games quite cheaply on Ebay.

walkinginawinterBundleland · 12/12/2007 15:55

is a vsmile a console? >

Barbie dream house. Its tall but not wide

walkinginawinterBundleland · 12/12/2007 16:56

dora jumping sounds especially good. dd2 can already recognise a few words, would it be the right kind of thing for her?

Barbie - My Size Throne - now on offer for £19.99 instead of £59.99 on Amazon.

bagpuss · 12/12/2007 20:47

Bundle, sorry for the delay in answering. I'm just going by what dd and friends prefer really. DD has the pocket v-smile which doesn't have many games available at her current age (5.5) and so although initially good it hasn't had the longevity of the leapster. DD's friend had the leapster and even her older brother played with it lots according to her mum. When I was looking for extra games for our v-smile in toysrus the shelves were crammed full of leapster stuff and titles which I think have a better appeal to dd now. £60 is a lot of money for a years' use I think, although her younger brother will probably use it soon I guess.

rachounette · 12/12/2007 20:58

Thanks a lot for letting us know that My Size Throne Barbie is on offer ... my 4.5 daughter has been asking for it ever since she has seen one (the Disney one) at her little friend's house... I heard her telling her friend that Father Christmas was going to bring her one, but thought no way, too expensive (£40)... but for £20, very tempted ! anybody there has got one ? what do you think??

Marina · 12/12/2007 21:09
