I can't find any I really like and I need quite a lot of it without spending a fortune. Please show me yours and say where you got it๐ŸŽ„

Sainsburys had some beautiful Matt red Kraft paper wrap.
I was tempted. And then remembered I have so much left over

I don't wish to come over as a total " greeny" But normal Xmas paper is not recyclable and I cba with all the faff. We circulate the same Christmas bags throughout the family , some have been used for years. I've now got a few if the reusable Christmas supermarket shopping bags for larger items, these should last for years xxx

WombatChocolate · 06/11/2021 18:11

As well as using old magazines or newspapers this year, we have some reusable bags too.

We've got some fabric bags which gifts from Amazon came in. They are blue with dots and draw string ribbons and we can use them multiple times. We also have some Jute bags from Seasalt that bigger gifts go in. Sometimes people keep the bags as part of the gift and sometimes we have it back so we can reuse it.

Stocking items I think need wrapping really, but newspaper or a magazine (save Sunday supplements for a few weeks) does the job.

I once uswed lovely brown paper and tartan ribbon. It looked really nice. I was then told I was a tight git for using brown paper.

Some people have no class. Hmm

I always buy mine from studio. They have huge rolls that come in a box & have a blade for cutting. I always do red, silver and white but this year they have some lovely blue ones.

Can't remember where I got it but I have jewel colours this year, shiny teal with fushia ribbon and shiny fushia with teal ribbon.

@WombatChocolate

We are actually using newspaper this year. You might think it sounds daft and mean, but we just decided it was such a waste and we didnโ€™t even need the recycled stuff. So we are using newspaper and saved magazines for a bit of colour.

No doubt some will thing itโ€™s being a Scrooge, but Indont think we will enjoy Christmas any less for it.

I love this idea!

I'd forgotten all about Studio. I've just looked snd they have some lovely paper but most of it foil that I doubt can be recycled. Last year Father Christmas used brown paper with red or navy gingerbread people ribbon. I admired his style.

I've bought reusable gift bags from Etsy this year, I decided because you can't recycle the foil paper and the glittery stuff, it left quite dull options, so wanted something different - they arrived yesterday and are great!

I reuse cloth bags and cardboard boxes every year.

I save the brown paper that comes inside Amazon boxes for gifts outside the family.

No-one has commented, but I'd tell them to jog on, and they probably wouldn't get another present!

Aldi had some beautiful blue wrapping paper in. The brown paper has given me the idea of letting my grandchildren do stamps and pictures on. If I got something wrapped in newspaper it would take me back to the days of fish and chips in newspaper.

I bought this woodland recycled paper from the RSPB.
