Small stocking-fillers for 13yo

Struggling with ideas for 13yo DD. She doesn't like her bedroom being too cluttered but does still like getting presents/a stocking. She isn't really into make-up or clothes. I need stocking-filler ideas mostly, ideally as low-cost as possible (we are trying to be more careful this year) and which won't take up too much room. Thank you for any help! Smile

My 13 year old is a boy but here are some of my ideas for him.

Hot chocolate spoon.
Microwave Mug Brownie Kit
SD card
Gorilla Tape (by request)
Glow Sticks
Compass
Stationery

Also a boy here, but planning a Costa gift card, aftershave samples, a wallet, socks, obligatory choc Santa and coins. He also likes Hotel Chocolat little gifts for something that feels posh.

Underthestairsbears · 03/11/2021 20:58

My DD is almost 13 and is having incense sticks and an anklet. She's also having her own jar of Bisto (don't ask!) and an Oreo selection box, probably some face masks or similar and a bath bomb.

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 03/11/2021 20:59

I've just got umbrellas for my two

PigeonPigPie · 03/11/2021 21:01

I also dislike clutter and love consumable gifts - fancy teas, hot chocs, nice food, shower/bath stuff you know she likes, hand cream, pens, facemasks

Watching! Thank you! I feel like I’ve done every stocking filler ever!

SmartCar · 03/11/2021 21:50

Does she like hot chocolate? You can get cute floaties to go top right "on trend" atm

Twilight7777 · 03/11/2021 21:57

How about some sort of craft like diy wax melts kit or bath bomb kit (Etsy has some nice affordable options)

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 03/11/2021 22:30

My dd is 13 this year. Some of her stocking fillers.
Memo block from the works (£3 she got very excited by this!)
Various sketching pencils including crayola skin tone pencils.

A little mannequin to use as a model for sketching.
Bubble bar from lush.
Stickers from her favourite anime (from wish).
Shower cap.
Game - this year im thinking monopoly deal. But previously done dobble, exploding kittens, pack of cards, top trumps.
Sweets - the more interesting the better.
Pop tarts.
Can of fizzy (not normally allowed it!).
Pop socket for her phone.
Wireless earbuds.
Game books - squares, nought and crosses, hangman.
Nice pens for school.
Tic tacs.
Silly sponge for the shower.

How much of a budget are you on? I’m on a very tight one, and my Dd is similar in not liking clutter and not being in to clothes very much (but younger tho - she is 9).
Books? (My Dd is a fairly big reader, so I get second hand ones off eBay and also trawl charity shops - costs fuck all).
Key-ring featuring something she likes - can buy things like this off eBay very cheaply from abroad - may still be delivered on time if you are quick
Toiletries from Poundland, B and M or similar.
£5 gift card for somewhere she likes.
Poundland sweets.
Stationery - Wilkos and the Works have nice stuff that is quite cheap.
Small cuddly toy if she still likes them? (Again I look on charity shops).

Always chocolate coins and a chocolate orange. My mum used to also do a handful of nuts as a tradition, warm socks, book, hot chocolate, bath bomb. Cookie making kit…

heymammy · 07/11/2021 16:23

Our stockings are mostly sweets and chocs but popular extras have been

Black Post it notes with a white gel or chalk pen
Glass bottle of Coke
Hot chocolate bomb
Tic tacs
Small puzzle book
Usually a paperback sticking out the top
Personalised jar of Nutella

For a girl maybe a make up head band? To keep hair out of the eyes?

My son loves his eye mask (airline freebie!)

LittleMousewithcloggson · 07/11/2021 16:52

My 13 year olds stocking will have:
Shower steamer
Hot chocolate spoon
Harry Potter dobble
Pair of earrings
Gel pens
Lanyard
Chocolate orange
Tube of smarties
Notebook
A bottle of nail polish
A wind up toy

Everyone gets small wind up toys at Christmas and we race them at the table!!

checketycheck · 07/11/2021 17:49

Thanks for all the ideas. Really useful. I am managing to come up with a list thanks to the suggestions. We are on quite a tight budget but added to that it's a case of having seen how things go to waste from previous years and more recently, how DD has really disliked having clutter lying around. I think plenty of consumable and useful things are a good idea and second hand books a great idea too Smile
