Traditional Food treats abroad

We're possibly away for Xmas but would still like to pack some traditional treats! Mini Xmas pudding, crackers, etc.
Any ideas for what I could stick in the suitcase?

When we went to stay with DS's inlaws in S America, we took some mince pies. They were incredibly popular. I usually make my own but DH pointed out that shop ones would be in boxes and be able to survive the journey better than home made.

I thought crackers could be a problem with security at airports, because of the tiny explosive in the snap. Maybe check that out in advance.

We were considering a Christmas away. Isn't happening now but I was thinking of having a Christmas evening the weekend before we went with turkey and stuffing sandwiches, pigs in blankets, Christmas pudding & mincepies etc. Then embracing the local food and customs for Christmas itself.

You need to check rules for taking food into whichever country you are going to,some don't allow it.

If I was taking food, I'd take a small Christmas cake and after eights. If I had the possibility of cooking some turkey or chicken, id take a pack of stuffing mix and a small jar of cranberry sauce. And Christmas pudding.

Depends on where you are going but some items I would definitely include based on living abroad currently are:

Mince pies or a jar of mincemeat if you are able to make the pastry where you are going

Stuffing mix box

Individual or large Christmas pudding

Christmas crackers

Nice jar of chutney or piccalilli to have on Boxing Day with ham etc
