Crazy Fort - is it good value?

I've been looking for ideas for my 6 year old, 7 in January for both Christmas and birthday. She is into den building just now and I found Crazy Forts (and their far cheaper alternatives)

Has anyone used them and are they worth the extra money compared to the cheaper versions? I would prob get 2 sets to expand options and because she is tall for her age

We had a cheap one (from The Book People I think) - it was rubbish. The poles were really hard to get into the balls and it couldn’t support it’s own weight. Everyone got frustrated and it never came out again. So no, I wouldn’t!

Is that the cheaper version only or the toy as a concept?

Am struggling this year to find something different for her that is not simply the newest pink plastic doll that will get 5 mins of play before joining the others in the toy box (she has older siblings and inherited a lot as they grew out of things)

We have had two different makes of those type of forts and to be honest they have both been rubbish and caused lots of tears.

We now have these which are much more versatile and are played with lots by ds5 and dd7

We had Crazy Forts- the pieces don’t stay together well enough to play in the den so you end up constantly fixing it.

It's a shame to hear that it just doesn't work - such a fab concept as well

Thank you all
