Any stocking filler ideas for a 7 and 2 year old? Trying to avoid throw away plastic items and also don't want too many sweet things.

Stationary, craft stuff, mini toiletries, mini soft toys, cars, Brussels sprouts, mini puzzles, match attax or collectible cards, mini Lego sets

Mine loved party paraphernalia, wrapping paper, cheap birthday cards to hold parties for their dolls and stuffed toys.

Kiduknot · 29/10/2021 15:45

Cake mixes, icing pens to decorate biscuits etc

Small books.
Character underwear that they don't normally get.
Character compressed flannel that expands in water.
Stationary, craft materials.

reallyworriedjobhunter · 29/10/2021 16:29

katcatkat · 29/10/2021 16:30

Breakfast cereal you wouldn't normally buy.
Special drinks to have with Christmas dinner.
Fun bath stuff.

LunchWithAGruffalo · 29/10/2021 16:36

If you have a printer there are loads of free colouring pages and puzzles, roll and tie with a ribbon.
Playdough, either bought or homemade
Stickers

Socks, undies, toothbrushes with favourite characters on, we used to buy plain most times so character ones were always a bit of a novelty.

I also used to pick up bits from the charity shop, things like individual toy cars, wooden trains, play food items.

User68423971 · 29/10/2021 16:39

as per pp, a hot wheels car

individual lego character(s) (e.g. a special character from a series they like)

top trumps

wooden fiddle toys (e.g. you can get little wooden blocks held together by elastic that are good for in the car)
