I’m looking for suggestions for a family gathering several days after Christmas when everyone is well and truly done with turkey and left overs.

Do something totally non-Christmas and fairly healthy, but still celebratory.

Maybe this Ottolenghi chicken with a big fresh Tabouli salad

How about a lovely homemade pie, always lovely and can be pre prepared. Casserole such as pork in cider or venison with red wine 😊

We usually plan meals which are totally different to usual Christmas food, like Thai or Mexican. Tacos would be good as you can do a lot of the prep beforehand and then put it all the middle for people to help themselves. We like them with carnitas.

I make and freeze a vegetarian lasagne

Chilli (I make in the slow-cooker then put in the fridge overnight ) served with potato skins and salad -and if anyone wants cheese and sour cream

Lamb tagine with lemony couscous and sides such as flat breads, houmous, salads.

Moussaka with Greek salad.

Big steak and kidney pie. Or chicken and tarragon pie, with mash and steamed veg.

If you want really easy some local delis do gorgeous heat and eat ready meals to feed a crowd.
