Once they found out about Santa after the trip, what do they make of it all? Just curious really. Our trip has been put back a year due to covid so we’ll be going at a time I imagine my oldest will be questioning Santa. I can’t decide whether it would be better to tell him before we go or let him go along with it only to find out next year Santa isn’t real and we took him on a sham holiday?! My youngest will be 6 so I have no qualms about him but I don’t know, I can’t quite articulate why it feels a bit weird to go through the whole charade with an older child who is on the verge of not believing. For example I’ve been told on the flight the pilot dips the plane slightly and says it the reindeer landing on the roof. If your kids found out not long after something like that what would they think about it? That you’d gone to all that effort for something that wasn’t real or just hold the happy magical memories?
