Hi, the wrist warmer seconds were discussed on one of the Christmas threads ages ago and I wanted to ask a little more about them please. Are these the ones that come with a fixing kit? If so are they easy to fix? Would I be better just buying them full price? Do they itch if you can't tolerate wool or mohair? Thank you!

I love Turtle Doves, I have loads of their fingerless gloves and wear them continuously from November onwards. The only seconds they’ve got on their site at the moment are two pairs of non cashmere fingerless gloves (which they’re out of stock of) for £18, but the labels are marked as seconds. They’ve also got smaller pieces in packs for £3.50 but you might struggle to make a full glove out of them.

I definitely prefer the gloves to the wrist warmers as they’ve got a hole for the thumb (fingers aren’t individual) whereas the wrist warmers are just leg warmers for arms. They definitely do keep you warm though, especially if your circulation isn’t great.

Wool doesn’t make me itch, so probably not particularly helpful, but the cashmere doesn’t really feel like wool to me. It’s much, much softer.

I love my fingerless gloves! I was slightly sceptical, i have raynauds but thought I'd take a chance and see if they keep my hands warm. I have to say they are AMAZING!

I got one for my birthday last year December and really love them. They are thin but warm, easy to put in a coat pocket or bag. You can use your fingers better than with the typical fingerless gloves.

The cashmere is well, it's cashmere. Soft, lightweight, warm and absolute no itching. I hate wearing typical woolen jumper/tops and scarves but cashmere is a totally different cattle of fish.
