Baby boy doll ideas

DD age 2 has shown very little interest in dolls up to now but has suddenly expressed an interest in "babies" and said she wants a "baby boy." I have zero experience of dolls (was a right tomboy myself) but I'd like to get her a baby boy doll for Christmas. I've had a look and there's so much out there, I was thinking maybe one that comes with a bottle to "feed" but I definitely don't want one that wees everywhere or talks. Does anyone have any recommendations for a baby boy doll for that sort of age? Ideally under £30. Thanks.

I would say Baby Born as they were my kids favourites, and they don't take batteries or make noise, but they do wee. My second suggestion is a Tiny Treasures from Argos. They smell and feel amazing as they are weighted. At 2, maybe the smaller version would be easier to hold.

To be honest I would just go with a plain ordinary one. You can get bottles that look like the liquid is running out when you tip them up, but at 2 her imagination will suffice! I think dolls that cry/wet/drink/burp are massive creativity killers, and creepy AF to boot.

Oh he is quite sweet @NameChange2PostThis and the right sort of money. To be honest I got a shock when I saw the price of some of the dolls £50 for some of them in Smyths for what looks like quite a basic doll?!

My toddler loves the Miniland baby dolls. They're a really good size for a toddler and they also smell nice!

John Lewis have a really cute "my first baby boy doll" - I think it's £12. No bottle, but probably easy enough to source a separate dolls bottle :)

My son has this doll, creepy as hell but it cries, moves, learns words, feeds, sleeps, wakes etc, it’s been worth every penny. My son got it for his 2nd Christmas but still plays with it now aged 4.

I’d go cheap asda or Morrison’s ones. Don’t go for anything fancy at this age. If she continues to like baby dolls you can get better ones as she gets older. My older 2 had the same cheap asda ones for years, not bought by me as I never liked dolls at all. DD3 still plays with them now, they are ones you squeeze the tummy and they say things like Mamma or giggle…they are perfect for a 2yo. We only bought more expensive dolls and more bits when DD2 still stayed interested as she got older, even then I still only bought cheap asda ones I just went with more accessories when choosing them. We have a Baby Born and baby annabell now but only because they were given to us and I couldn’t tell you which is which, once the clothes come off (which they always do) they all look pretty much the same. The only thing I’d suggest is maybe get 2 one with a soft body for cuddles and one with a hard body to take in the bath. DD3 loves bathing, feeding etc… she has baby baths and takes dolls in the bath too. Also helps buying cheap ones if you do bath them as no matter how good you are at pulling heads off to get water out they still get mouldy inside.

My niece has the ridiculously expensive £300 ones that are suppose to look like real baby’s, personally I think her parents are mad as she got bored after insisting she wouldn’t. I think they had about 4 in total and they were too expensive to actually play with properly.
