Santa Sleepover at Chessington or recommendations for a festive treat

Am trying to get a festive treat organised for my DC and was just wondering if anyone had done the Chessington Santa Sleepover and what they thought of it? Or if you had anything else you'd recommend instead?

I'm reading pretty mixed things about people's experiences there at the moment and am keen to book something fun without massive queues, if possible. DC will be 13, 11 and 9 in December.

We've done Lapland UK and Legoland and fancied something new.

Many thanks.

I think Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park would be more age appropriate if you’ve got a 13yo

Thanks for the recommendation.
She is a very young 13 and happy to do things with the younger ones too.

Winter Wonderland is awful. Expensive and full of tat.

Centre parcs Whinfel winter wonderland, you can’t go wrong it’s a bit pricey but honestly it’s worth every penny.

Not many rides open - although vampire multiple times in a row & in the dark was fun!!!
Have you looked at Alton Towers? We were booked for last Christmas til lockdown put pay to that.

Thank you. Will look in to those. I did have a quick look at Alton Towers, but it seemed considerably more than Chessington. More research needed!

It was way more expensive - but more open and to do.

We did Chessington last year, it was really good! The whole Santa experience was great. The hotel is ok for what it is - somewhere to stay the night before, with great access to the park. We ate out in Surbiton for dinner. There’s a Pizza Express there so family friendly.

I looked the other day and it’s a lot more expensive than last year (about £180 compared to £110 I think we paid). So I’m d

Pressed post by mistake!

… so I’m debating whether to go this year or not.

Thank you @princessbear80 Great to hear you enjoyed it and useful about Pizza Express. We found the food at the Legoland Hotel was dire! Did you swim too?

No we didn’t swim, we didn’t have time!
