I'm making mine too, running a bit late as it's usually done by now but it will still taste good

Actually I have 10 to make over the next week or so as dh in his infinite wisdom decided that we would give home-made gifts of christmas pudding this year to our family and friends as part of a hamper and guess who has to make them !

Have fun making yours

good for you! i made mine at the beginning of december last year and it was still delicious! have you had to buy tons of pudding basins, then? pricey. great present, though. i'm actually doing mine for my mother as we are not hosting christmas this year.

I bought a pudding mould which produces round puddings which can then be removed and wrapped in greaseproof paper and muslin. Tied with a pretty bowl they should look ok (I hope!)

It does mean however that as I only have 1 mould I have to steam the 10 puddings for a total of 80 hours yikes

Hope you have a good Christmas!

yes i thought you would need to be doing a lot of steaming! my recipe calls for 6 hrs worth and i did it in the slow cooker last time.

good luck!
