Thinking there must be at least a couple of people out there. I did them last year (big success) and am prob going to do them again this year.

So what are you putting in them?

Where are you getting your supplies?

LAst year I made gingerbread, filo mince parcels, truffles (rum and standard), cookies (2 types I think) and fudge.

I used shredded coloured paper or tissue paper in bottom (nicked from ds's stash), baskets from 'The Range' (cheapy shop), cellophane from local sewing shop, normal present curling ribbon and those foil takeaway style containers you can get from Asda cheap - they were fab, just stuck bows on top and ribbon round them.

SO what you doing - shop bought/homemade/mix of both?

And I've noticed a few of Delia's recipes say things like "This is even more delicious if you keep it in a tin for a couple of weeks..."

I have a spiced nuts recipe I make every year at Christmas that people love. This year I am making jars of it and giving it to people with the recipe attached on a card.

DD1 is similarly making orange and lemon creams for her friends.

RosaTransylvania - Any chance I could have the recipe please

Here you go Dosydot.
Spiced Mixed Nuts
Preheat oven to 190°C (170°C fan) mark 5. Take 400g (14oz) unsalted and unroasted nuts (a mixture of brazil nuts, almonds and pecans) and put them into a roasting tin. Sprinkle over 1⁄2 level tsp each of cayenne pepper, ground cinnamon and sea salt, a generous pinch of black pepper and 2tbsp of golden caster sugar. Drizzle over 2tbsp olive oil, stir to mix, then spread out in a single layer. Bake for 15-20min until golden and crisp. Cool in the tin and store in an airtight container for up to two weeks.

Morning paper, could you post the recipe for the biscotti? I love them and am thinking of adding them to my hampers this year but haven't found any decent recipes.

Thanks
