Hi all,

Can i pick your brains???

Not seeing families over christmas - DS & BIL & Family, DH's DB, SIL & Family (all young children) & PIL - as they live a long way away.

Normally in my family we would do a pressie swap a few weeks before.

This year i'm having a quite serious op end of Nov. Therefore we can't travel over December.

We can give pressies in new year but i'd rather do something before for obvious reasons.

Do any of you guys have any good ideas for pressies we can deliver over the internet that may be gift wrapped or so unusual they don't need gift wrapping???

Help!

Could you ask your SIL or MIL to wrap the pressies for you? That's hat I do for the ones in Scotland - get them sent to my mum who wraps and distributes them. Saves on all the hassle and I'm sure they'll be happy to help if you've just had op. Saves paying an extra £2 or wehatever to Amazon etc just for gift wrapping. Alternativley send vouchers to everyone.

photobox.co.uk is brilliant. Would highly recommend.

We usually send a box of books via Amazon.

If i send direct from Amazon will the bill be inside so people can see how much we've spent?

No, you mark it as a gift.

send books via book people to thier addresses, and get them to wrap them?
tbh, just recieving them in the postal wrapping is wrapping enough?
you can also wearn cashback thru quidco

I sent Thornton's hampers via their web site one year when I was unable to get to the shops easily (seriously ill child). Everyone seemed to really enjoy their gifts!

Good luck with your op - I am sure that your family will appreciate the fact that you have made such an effort to get gifts to them under the cicumstances.

Oh, just a thought - this web site has a really nice range of unusual gifts and they deliver:
