Was it all OK? You told me what Steve and the children like, but not yourself! So I had to guess.

TrickORTripletEm · 24/10/2007 10:05

Ohh O.J. What luxuries!!!

Watch out ladies, she won't want to mix with us mere mortals, who have toast for breakfast, anymore

Cherry bakewells indeed!!!!

onlyjoking9329 · 24/10/2007 10:08

fancy forgetting myself, well i really enjoyed the wine and the apple tart, i love a soak in the bath and althou i do make my own bath bubbles i haven't made any for ages so i will so enjoy the bath stuff.
elliot took the empty cadbury tin to bed with him
steve enjoyed the chocolate pud and is thinknig what he would like for tea, he has not been eating much recently so its nice to have so many nice things to tempt him with

So nice to here that Steve is getting his appetite back Sounds like the meds have done well,or perhaps the pud was just too tempting?
You'll have a fight on your hands now as you are both going to squabble for your own favourites!!!!

saltire · 24/10/2007 10:16

OJ that is lovely, I hope steve (and you and the rest of the family) really enjoy the things you have been sent.

thanks, yes steve is pretty hot, that'll be the radiotherapy he looks like he has been sat in the sun too long but only on one side [blooming NHS cutbacks, half a haircut then half a suntan}

lilibet · 24/10/2007 14:44

REally glad that people have done this for you, you deserve something good to make you smile

How's Steve's treatment going?

TrickORTripletEm · 24/10/2007 14:47

Has he had any free NHS tattoos? My dad had four!! Shame they made him look like a pirate's map with all those crosses!!!!! Ewwww!!! no!!! just though of a game that he and his wife could have played to do with buried treasure
Agghhhhhh Off to bleach my thoughts pronto!!!!

onlyjoking9329 · 24/10/2007 14:48

yes it is very kind. and we are still smiling inbeteew stuffing ourselves!
steve had a really bad weekend ans we did wonder if he would make it throu, but he did
he is halfway throu week four and had meds juggled around a bit and happy to report that he is sooooo much better, thanks

onlyjoking9329 · 24/10/2007 14:50

no tattoos for steve [more cutbacks?]
he has a transparent head mould with all marks on it to line him up instead of the tattoos

OP posts:
TrickORTripletEm · 24/10/2007 14:53

I saw the pics of that. Must have been very clastraphobic having that done

onlyjoking9329 · 24/10/2007 19:03

yes it was, he found it difficult plus everyday when he goes in for his radiotherapy he is worried he will be sick whilst wearing the mould.

TrickORTripletEm · 24/10/2007 21:03

O.J. thats so tough. I think I would have exactly the same worries. Does it take a long time for each session that Steve has?

TigerFeetInLovelyNewShoes · 24/10/2007 21:08

Oh well done Lapin et al

you are all fab

lovely pics OJ

onlyjoking9329 · 24/10/2007 22:00

we had a lovely tea thanks to mumsnetters
there is always something to smile at
steves actual treatment slot is 10 minutes per day, the radiotherapy is four minutes one minute for each bit of tumour

TrickORTripletEm · 25/10/2007 21:26
