Posca pens?

DD really wants Posca pens. However, I’ve just gone online and realised the HUGE price difference between that brand and other random generic acrylic paint pens.

Does anyone know if it’s worth the cost difference? Sets of different brands are about £12, (so a nice extra) for same number of Posca brand about £40 (so a more major gift, but still in budget).

From what my artist friends have said posca pens are definitely worth extra in terms of quality difference. I think if your DD has her heart set on posca she would be a little disappointed with a generic brand

Maybe talk to her about it, she might have seen good reviews online but not realised how expensive they are? So tell her that if that's what she really wants it would be a main present but she wouldn't get much else but if she wanted the other ones she would be able to pick out a few other arty supplies to go with it maybe?

Nothing quite beats a posca pen imo! Arteza do come a close second but definitely not as good.
I get mine from hobbycraft as they’re cheaper than elsewhere I’ve found, and there’s always a code or two kicking about for them.
They do different starter sets too which are quite good value, I’d check which size you want too depending on what your dd wants to use them for.

Dd has had copy pens of posca in the past and got for her birthday the real posca anc there is a huge difference in quality. The posca pens are definitely worth the price. Dd loves them and uses them almost every day

Thanks all! I’m glad I asked.
