Brain out of ideas

I'm seeking any tips anyone might have for my mum.
She's a little (a lot) hard to buy for.
She's disabled, can only be in her bed or chair; can't hold books very well; diabetic; can't drink alcohol; doesn't watch dvds; loves jewellery but has more than the queen; blankets and slippers all over the place.
I am truly stuck. She has personalised bits of the kids already and some sneaky chocs. I am stumped, please any help would be so great

Oh and she can't get in the bath so all bath sets are out

I don't know if it would work in the circumstances but if she enjoys reading, what about a kindle and then get her one of those stand cushion things so she wouldn't have to hold it.

I actually had that brainwave a couple of years ago and she ended up using it to prop up books next to her that she will never read🤦🏻‍♀️she's not great with technology and also my parents are quite bad with hoarding, I should have mentioned that. I love them madly but they are frustrating

Big photo frame with a selection of family pictures - old ones of her family, her youth, past birthdays, family pics, pics of GCs etc.

Blanket printed with GC's faces Xmas Grin my mum loves the one my sister made. Although you moight be out of time to order it.

Echo dot and she can listen to audio books. Failing that, small cd player with cd audio books. (less complicated to use). You could record some GC reading a short Christmas story and put it on a CD.

That flower delivery service much mentioned on MN Fred's Flowers or something? Bouquets a-go-go?

Have you asked her? My mum is very ill (has diabetes and kidney failure) and has got to the point in her life that she doesn't want any more 'stuff' in the house.

In asking her, she wants a small handmade present as a surprise, so I'm doing that. For her, having less not more given her situation is the best present.

iamtheoneandonlyyy · 15/12/2020 11:51

Yes she said she loves surprises 😬lol.
I've done diabetic sweet hampers, vouchers, the list is endless. Can't even say money because she can't get out to spend it

Another suggesting one of those flower subscription services? That's the kind of thing I'd love but never pay for myself.

Thehollyandtheirony · 15/12/2020 12:39

An Audible subscription?

Stompythedinosaur · 15/12/2020 12:59

I was going to suggest an audible subscription too!

PerditaNitt · 15/12/2020 13:06

Digital frame with family photos
Radio with easy to use buttons

giantangryrooster · 15/12/2020 13:06

Are there any nicer restaurants in the area that do home delivery? If so a couple of nice meals.

iamtheoneandonlyyy · 15/12/2020 18:27

I like these ideas👍🏻flower subscription would go down very well indeed. The reason I don't go for audible is purely because she is glued to the Jewellery channel and wouldn't use it.
The restaurant delivery sounds good to
Thank you all
