has anyone seen this and would you recommend it? I would definitely like to take dd1 ( nearly 6) but would dd2 like it - she is 2.5 - or would she be bored?

TIA

I have seen it twice because it is so absolutly fantastic. My kids loved it and were so pleased when we booked again the year after.

It is so magical.

The first year we went we didn't take my youngest, who would of been nearly 3 then, but afterwards both me and my mum said he'd have been fine. We took him the following year and he loved it, and he is quite fidgety normally.

DD saw it first when she was 2.5 and then last year when she was 3.5. She was mesmerised. It isn't ridiculously long and there aren't particular lulls in the story when children may become bored.
She loved it both times. It really really is magical/fantastic/lovely.

Don't know what the place is like that you will be booking at, but we saw it at the Old Rep in Brum, and we sat about 9ish rows back, and at the end the first block or so get snowed on, which nearly made me cry as the kids were so shocked and the look on their faces was magical.

Don't know if they do the snow thing everywhere though.

Go for the front stalls at the Peacock and you will aslo be snowed on. Brilliant.
In fact, you have reminded me and am in the process of rebooking (as soon as the website lets me reregister).

if you go for a family ticket - it works out cheaper. we took dd (just turned 2) last year and she loved it. the fact that there are no words (just ballet) makes it appeal to that age. anyway, i asked if she wanted to go again and she jumped at it, so hv booked for this year. it's a great theatre - there is pushchair space - and it's not a v long production to be honest, a little over an hour. she sat still throughout, tho i did book an aisle seat just in case.
