"fitbit" for 7 year old

Hi, 7 year old DD wants a fitbit for Christmas. She's been good this year so I was looking to get one for her. I know fitbit do a child version but that's expensive so any suggestions for a cheaper option? Obviously amazon has many choices but so many of those reviews are fake I was hoping to get real life suggestions. Maybe honor band 5 but not sure if strap is too big

Thanks
J

Might be worth asking your DD's friends parents what type their children have - fitness trackers can often 'link' with people with the same type so you can see how your friends are doing etc. We ended up buying our DD a fitbit as that's what her friends have.

I have Honor Band 5 and have bought one for my 8 year old - tested it on his wrist and it's ok, he's small for his age. I previously got an Amazon cheapy one and it's rubbish, Honor Band is miles better!

Ive got the garmin kids one for my 7yr old but didnt realise you cant make calls from it too so not sure if it’ll be a favourite

My DCs have Letscom fitness trackers, they were about £16 each. Not specifically children's ones but the wristband fitted them both quite well (youngest was 9 when I got them) they are fairly basic but do measure steps and hours of sleep etc plus a few other functions. They seem quite hard-wearing and only take an hour to charge up.

What 7 year old would need / want to make calls on itConfused

The Garmin / Fitbit kids ones are perfect for the ages they're aimed at. Simple, sturdy and safe. We went for Fitbits over Garmin as the designs were plain. At the time, the Garmin options were all Disney / cartoon which are easily outgrown very quickly.
