Amazon gifts but who are they from?!

Just had an Amazon delivery arrive containing board games (ages appropriate for my kids, somebody who knows them) and activity books, art material and so on. It was addressed to me, all very normal.

Lovely gifts, but no idea who they are from! No packing slip. No card etc.

We know what close family members and godparents (who usually buy for the kids) have sent as they tell us to look out for the parcels & I usually wrap and gift card from them but ... how do I find out from Amazon who this came from?

You won’t find out,I do Not think amazon will reveal who’s the buyer
It’s easier to say thank you take a photo send it round the family and see who responds

Have you checked that there isn’t a receipt/gift message behind the plastic on the address label? I have been caught out with this before, as it wasn’t obvious.

I bought a bottle of vodka for myself from Amazon last week and there was someone else's gift message in my box, only noticed it when I was breaking the box down as it has slipped between the folds. It was just a small piece of thin thermal printer paper approx 2" x 3", easily missed (or put in wrong box!)

Just checked and alas it's just a sticker.

Yes, I know the things you mean, they are tiny. Have kept all the packaging material etc. just in case but checked it at least 5 times.

I can understand that for DP reasons, I wonder if they can even trace it as it's not in my account.

No, I can't ask obvious family as they've already bought for the kids (we know what). There are a few other friends I can think of, like the nanny we had when the kids were little and we see once or twice a year, but if they're not from her, I am worried she will feel embarrassed that she hadn't got them presents (which I don't expect from her and really don't want to encourage as I know she is not financially secure). That's my dilemma really, if the person is t the giver snd hadn't sent gifts this year, it looks like I feel they "should" have!

Can you send a photo in a low key way?Happy Xmas everyone kind of thing the kids playing with the presents. See if you get a response?
It’s obviously very thoughtful gift, someone has kept your children in mind which is lovely of them.
Either you do not directly acknowledge and hope the purchaser is revealed
Or you acknowledge the gift indirectly and hope the purchaser is revealed

It’s really charming that someone is thinking of your children

I'm inclined to think it's been an oversight on the part of the person ordering. Do you have anyone wider family who have delivered amazon stuff to you before? We had this, my sis in law had us saved as one of her addresses from the one time, years ago, she'd sent a birthday gift.

Then one day some random stuff arrived. Amazon had defaulted to our address rather than her own. Pain in the arse because I had to post it on to her. She offered to pay but I'd have looked mean to take her cash.

If you email Amazon with the order number they will contact the customer and ask them to let you know. They have done it for me a few times. They won't give you the buyers name directly

That's what I've wondered. It's just that there are the right number of age-appropriate gifts!

Ah, that's interesting. I have called but got a generic "can't tell you for DP reasons" etc. from the nice but ultimately unhelpful call centre chap.

Did you call, or email? I think if I send a message from my account that will confuse things as they weren't orders on my account.

I emailed. I just quoted the order number and asked them to email the Original sender and let them know there was no gift card. It was easy

Brill. Thank you. Now to hunt down an email address for Amazon. They claim no longer to have one but I'll bet they do, public relations or HR or something it'll have to be ;-)
