Hi. My inlaws have sent us a text saying that as we have been furloughed since the first lockdown, they don't want us to buy them a Christmas present this year.
However, they are amazing to us and nothing is too much for them. We are very lucky.
This yr saw the arrival of our niece, a cousin to our 2 children. When we were allowed, we went and met our niece and I took a photo of the 3 grandchildren together. Our eldest was cradling the baby and our other child was curled up next to them. I made the image back and white and sent it to my inlaws. My inlaws loved it so much. The only photo of the 3 grandchildren together. We haven't seen her since that one day because of the lockdown restrictions.
Would I be unreasonable to ignore their wish for no present and get the photo made into a large canvas for them as a present or should I respect their no present this yr request? I feel bad not getting them anything as they are amazing but I don't want to be seen as not listening to them either. I know that they would love the picture of the 3 together, as she asked me to print her a copy when I get chance. What would you do? Thank you
