Christmas food hamper ideas thread

I posted asking about hampers recently and the consensus was they are all terrible value, which I totally agree with and after lots of unsuccessful hunting gave up on the idea. Until I asked the in-laws if there was anything they'd like and they said no and suggested a hamper Xmas Hmm

So I've decided to make my own. This is what I've got so far but would love more ideas.

Lemon meringue fudge from a local seller
Fudge/toffee sauce in a bottle- local seller
Net chestnuts-Lidl
Mint marshmallows with dark chocolate chips-Lidl
Cranberry Baklava-Lidl
Cantuccini with pistschios-Lidl
Raspberry lemon and gin jam-Lidl
Salted caramel hot chocolate-Lidl
Spiced/sugared almonds-Lidl
Lebkuchen with sprinkles-Lidl
Mini foil wrapped chocolate baubles-Lidl
Brie and Cranberry crisps-Lidl
Chicken and Thyme crisps-Lidl
Box of chocolate marzipan pieces-Lidl

I've still got loads of room in the basket so would love some ideas. I wonder if Aldi is worth going to or if it will be much the same as Lidl? Any Asda ideas would be most welcome as that is my other local supermarket. Might get some christmas bars of Tony's chocolonely. Also any ideas of food items I could buy from small businesses on Etsy or similar? I thought about cinder toffee but it tends to have a short date.

Anyone else making one? What have you got? I'm thinking of doing one for another hard to buy for relatives with much plainer tastes but worried it will look too boring.

It is all very very sweet! Do they have sweet tooth’s?

I’d add

Posh coffee and tea
Crackers for cheese
Chutney- chilli jam or bacon jam too
Saucisson
Those wax covered hard cheeses- also have delicious ones
Olives

I'd put in some savoury too. I like the jars of antipasti you get at aldi, roasted pepper, artichokes, sundried tomatoes. Maybe some chutney and crackers with wax wrapped cheese. If they drink prosecco/ port.

Another vote for more savoury! I would add cheese twists and peanuts.

Yes I totally agree it's very sweet! I was walking up and down looking for savoury things and only managed the crisps so far. Hoping to find some nicely packaged crackers and nuts etc, Lidl didn't have much at all. But also yes, MIL had the biggest sweet tooth of anyone I've ever known, I know she doesn't like olives or chilli and the only nice savoury things I saw had those. I think she'd actually prefer all sweet things, she isn't big on savory snacks. We've had many discussions about it before because I'm the total opposite. But I'm not sure on her partner so definitely want to find more savoury for balance.

I tend to put in more mundane items eg tea, coffee, jam, crackers, when the great grandparents were alive we would put in canned soup, tins of curry and stews (which they liked) canned ham etc (we knew their taste)
