Yes I know they aren't popular on here but I'm looking for ideas. Seems to get harder as DS gets older. He's 10 now.
Got the usual pjs, chocolates, Pringles... help please? What do you put in?

One toy from santa list to keep him occupied while you prepare for xmas day.
They get more excited about this toy than loads on xmas day.

It used to be a Christmas picture book for us to read together but now he’s older it’s the Beano Christmas special!
Christmas bath bomb
Hot choc

This year I’ve got a mug, hot choc stirrer, personalised popcorn brown, popcorn kernels, sweets, nice lush Christmassy bath bomb.
We do them from us not Santa and have gone for things that I know will get treasured and used

This year my 2 have warmies in theirs (heat up cuddly) and also the Narnia dvds and books. I also always put a new tree decoration in there for them. They also have Christmasy bath bombs and microwave popcorn along with the usual sweets, chocolate and pjs.

We don’t do a Christmas Eve box as such we have a little sleigh with candy canes, chocolate baubles for the tree, kinder eggs, little trinkets.

Lollypopsun · 29/11/2020 18:39

I've put in Pj's, Christmas mug, hot chocolate stirrer and some reindeer dust. I don't think it needs anything else in

Dovesandkisses · 29/11/2020 18:50

Christmas mugs, snowmen marshmellows, hot chocolate, socks, pjs, a book and a board game to play Christmas eve.

storminabuttercup · 29/11/2020 19:21

Such great ideas thank you!
Just ordered a card game that will be good to play together.

My DC are adults so I do the CEH on Dec 1st .
DD has 'winter pjs' and DS has those long 'lounging' trousers and some printed TShirts (all Primark)

Underwear -TKMaxx are good for branded ones , socks
Chocolate Advent Calendar , this year one of the big bars of Cadbury Dairy Milk (I'm hoping they're adult enough not to scoff it all at once and make themselves sick Xmas Wink )
Thinking about a mug for DD if I find a nice one .

And I got a set of Dominoes from M&S (Battersea Cat ones) we have Christmas Dominoes , it gets very competitive Xmas Grin

When DS was about 10yo he'd get a Simpsons Annual , Lindt Chocolate Reindeer , Lush Bath Bomb with the PJs

Ours will contain new pyjamas, chocolate stirrers from Lidl and a smores kit - which contains a gel burner I got from amazon for a few quid, jar of Nutella, biscuits and bag of marshmallows. We'll toast the marshmallows at some point on Christmas eve and make smores!

Outlr christmas eve box is split into two. We have half in the morning with the activities for the day, just cheap craft bits from the works and hobby lobby.
And in the evening we'll have pyjamas, slippers, hot water bottle, ticket for the polar express movie, our christmasdtockings. Twas the night before Christmas book. We used to include a DVD too but we literally stream everything nowadays. Also got the kids a cake box each, it has such a cute selection of festive bakes, also has a christmassy mug and a hot Chocolate stirrer with it. I've also bought an adult version for me and DP, that has a bottle of gin and gin candy cane stirrers in with it and a lot of cakes. But I've also got a hot Chocolte bomb for me and DP as its tradition for us to drink hot chocolate the same time the kids do on the polar express train. So we're all set for treats on Christmas eve 😊

ours have:

PJs
Toothbrush
Bath/hygene item
Book
Teddy
Hot chocolate
Gingerbread
Small sweet item
Something for supper (usually fun american cerial etc...)
A sign to hang

it all really designed to get them to bed when excited rather than 'gifts'
