I could go absolutely mad with presents from my DC and the dc of friends and family. But I really struggled with the adults.
I would love to hear what others are buying for the adults in their lives and thought that it might be good for inspiration for others too.
So
Dad- walking trainers
Mum- not a clue
bro- playstation unlimited subscription
Sis- a lamp that she saw and loved
Aunt1- bird box for her garden
Aunt2-not a clue
Uncle- hand knitted hat
Friend- not a clue

Would love to hear yours.

We stopped all adult presents a few years ago. I love it 😁

We only buy for the adults that don't have their own children. It would seem unfair that they were buying for all of our kids and not getting a single prezzie.

Mum - slippers and PJs and some face cream.

Sister - Moomins tea tray, a cook book, some sort of small batch, artisan, clay facemask (the skin type, not the Covid type), nail varnish, some reusable face wipes.

Dad - knitted socks (again small batch, happy sheep jobbies), Oxfam gift of water or some-such, so sort of anarchic pin badge.

MIL - trainers from Fat Face.

FIL - food hamper.

BIL - wine glasses.

Cousin - Ramen bowls.

Then everyone is getting F&M Christmas Blend coffee, and F&M jar of lemon curd (we like lemon curd in this family).

I've done a small gift basket for my mum and dp this year.
My mums will have a Christmas tree decoration, a mug, a necklace, perfume and something else but I can't remember what it is now.

DPs will have fancy vodka minis (only alcohol he drinks, but never gets expensive stuff so I bought a few different ones for him to try) a few mixers and a personalised glass.

I've also ordered him gower cottage brownies (recommended on here)

I got a nice gift of tray bakes one year from the letterbox bakery. They were lovely.

Mum - personalised calendar of the kids; Michael Kors watch, thesaurus (she asked for the last one!! Grin)
Boyfriend: reflective bike T-shirt; bicycle puncture repair kit; Tastesmiths curry kits
Boyfriends' parents: family photo frame
Brother: not a clue, prob an Amazon or M&S voucher

SquareEyes3523 · 27/11/2020 01:13

DH - star wars tshirts, computer game, webcam, Christmas socks, toblerone, cider

Mum - books, gloves, hat, calendar, bath stuff (she likes being warm, having cosy baths and reading lots of books)

Dad - box of Indian snacks (he loves savoury Indian snacks!) and a jar of Biscoff spread as he's never had it

Brother - box of haribo sweets, Dr Who dvds

SIL - CD set, candy kittens gummies, lindor chocs, gloves

MIL - calendar, book, notebook, gloves, chocs

FIL - cufflinks, nivea set, malteasers truffles

DGM - cushion with photo of DS on it, solar lamp for garden

We don't have a lot of money so it's smaller, cheaper bits as much as possible. All also getting a tree bauble with photo of DS on it.

We don't tend to buy the adults either (lots of nieces and nephews) but my sisters tend to buy each other a small gift so this year I bought them fancy aprons (mostly because for 2 of them, their husbands do the cooking and I thought it would be amusing to see 2 burly 6ft blokes in pinnys Grin

I absolutely second the personalised calendar for GP with all the GC - my mum loves hers.

I've got all the adults really nice merino wool socks! And very good locally made artisan chocolate.

skankingpiglet · 27/11/2020 01:58

I don't buy many gifts for adults but amongst the list this year are a bird house and food, compost aerator (lucky DH! 😂), cycling bits, a T-shirt, and books. Oh, and a nice bottle of port.
I have no adults on my side of the family, and DH buys for his family. They will probably get woolly hats. Again.
