Stocking ideas for 16m ds

Morning all

Finished the dreaded Christmas shop last night and now looking for stocking fillers for my 16m DS.

It's really difficult because the only toy he's interested in and plays with are his tower blocks, he doesnt play with cars or figures or anything that lights up or makes noise.

I've struggled to even get him christmas toys that I think he'll play with as he's just not interested in anything else so have hit a bit of a brick wall now.

Anyone got any ideas at all?

My 13 month DS is pretty much only interested in balls and books, but I'm assuming this will change over the next year so I've put a selection of things in his stocking. He will have:

  • a car
  • jumbo crayons (again doesn't have any interest right now but I'm assuming it will come eventually)
  • a flashing ball
  • some bells
  • a rainmaker
  • bubble bath
  • some kiddilicious gingerbread men
  • a tube of milky bar buttons

What about bath toys?

Stocking. This is what I bought.

If he's really not interested in presents at his age, why are you spending money on more of them? Is it for you, or for him? :)

That isn't supposed to be mean, but you could put aside the money you would spend for his later childhood, where you will be paying out ceaselessly for stuff.

Or you could use the money later on in the year when he's hit another developmental stage and needs more toys.

Thank you for those suggestions everyone I will start looking into them as those are very good ideas.

@oneglassandpuzzled I've got him presents because it's stuff I hope he will learn to play with, he's got developmental delay issues atm that are being looked into so we're trying to find toys he will engage with and will help him, so no the toys aren't for me lol

We also have a 7y DD so it would look a bit odd to her that father Christmas got her stuff and not him?

Maybe look at sensory toys. Do you have an emergency foil blanket.

perhaps a few more tower blocks individually wrapped? can you get some that will add interest in different shapes colours or animals etc?
