How do you wrap your gifts? Bows? Ribbons?

So after watching christmas films all weekend on Netflix I noticed on almost all of them their gifts are wrapped all perfect and matching.. Obviously I know this isn't real life but got me thinking how others do theirs? I wrap cheap gift sets, sweets, all matching paper with bows and ribbons to look pretty under my tree.. Other than that it's any paper and a tag usually for my sons 🙈 am I doing it wrong 🤔🙈

I have previously done brown paper with fabric ribbon, but am moving over to fabric with fabric ribbon. I got lots back from those I wrapped in paper last year so will reuse it this year and try not to use any paper at all.

I only put a bow on a big gift I'm not going to wrap. Like DS kitchen will have a bow on it. It's a big kitchen so I'm not wrapping it or bikes etc.

Usually I put nothing but cello tape and paper on them. Can't be faffed with ribbons and bows!

I normally use 1, or maybe a 2nd coordinating, paper for all my gifts. But usually a few ribbons and bows as well as a tag.

This year though, I am using 5 different rolls - whic go together fairly well but we’re not intended to, just what I have from the Jan sales (no chance to buy new here). And as most have to travel by post/courier rather than carefully packed in our car -
No ribbons.

I use different patterned paper with the same colour scheme and then a bow and ribbon, even on the small ones Blush yes I am that mum.

Brown paper and twine. I make tags out of kraft card - very easy.

@reluctantbrit

I started abandoning ribbons and bows as they are not recyclable and you hardly reuse them.

Father Christmas has its own paper and the rest is wrapped in whatever non glitter/metallic paper I find in the shops.

This year I will try to find fabric ribbons without any metal or glitter on it.

DD uses tissue paper and gift bags for her friends. They are reused all the time, I am sure several made it back to us and out again.

The non reusable message hasn’t been heard in my family. Nice paper, bows, ribbons, bits off the cracker all gets reused.

Wrapped in brown paper with a green or red wax seal in a festive design.

I'm toying with ribbon or butchers string but not sure yet.

I've bought some handmade fabric present bags from Etsy this year. Very quick and easy to wrap with and can be reused every year plus it's nice to be supporting small businesses. Will save money in future years after high initial outlay.

I aspire to making my own...maybe next year...

Otherwise I use red or chevron pattern kraft paper with real ribbons that I keep and reuse each year.

I bought lots of red and gold fabric ribbon last year and tied it round brown wrapping paper. I also tied the same ribbon directly onto the delivery boxes (turned inside out or using stickers if they had a lot of logos/labels on), as I had lots and they were approximately the right sizes. I used brown paper tape which sticks brilliantly. I was very happy with how it looked and the reduced waste, so this year I'm planning to do the same again.
