I'm looking to put together a smelliest hamper for my niece but I'm not quite sure what to put in there. I will buy some bath bombs but don't want to use Lush. any recommendations for other good places to buy them?

What else can I put in it? She's a girly girl and my mum is already buying her some make up so thats out.

I'm out of touch with tweenagers - help please!

TIA

Can you look on facebook if you have it and find some local businesses you could support? There's a lot near me with products that look a lot nicer than the big brands and cheaper/more environmentally friendly too.

Home Bargains have great bath bombs for £1-£2,but the stock isn't consistent.

Bubble bath/shower gel

Flannel

Body cream

Perfume

Yorkshire Soap Company have nice bath bombs - my DC are obsessed with soaps from there that have a little novelty eraser inside, and I think maybe the bath bombs do too.

They do a little hamper actually (I have my eye on it) but maybe it's a bit pricey.

You can find a pack of 3 for £11 at Rituals

My DDs are obsessed with lip balms.
Eye mask (some sort of animal!)

Mamagotskills · 17/11/2020 21:04

My 9yo loves the entire snow fairy range at lush. Not sure if anywhere else does similar but the are her absolute favourite

buckeejit · 17/11/2020 21:10

There's a so bomb bath bomb making kit that's pretty good.

Otherwise you could make up some salts (in jars or fabric), mixed with essential oils. Hand cream

The love hearts anti bac hand gel is nice & small size.

JaneAndMichaelStamp · 17/11/2020 21:10

My 9yo is in to this stuff too. You could add a nail file, bath sponge, fruit flavoured shampoo and conditioner. A nice comb or brush maybe. She'd love all that.

My nine year old isn't into toiletries but loves hair chalks and clip in coloured hair extensions, I don't know if that is something she would like?

RJnomore1 · 17/11/2020 22:05

Bomb cosmetics do loveky sets like lush but actually at a reasonable price for a bit of bicarbonate of soda.

Nail varnishes might go down well too?

Disney face masks! Superdrug sells them

Nonamesavail · 17/11/2020 22:11

Body shop bath bubbles!

Angbunnyboo · 17/11/2020 22:22

Thank you all so much for the ideas and pointers, I am having so much fun looking for stuff - I want to be a kid again!

There’s some imperial leather mallow mazing bubble bath and shower gel and they also do sweet treats soaps which my dd loves.

Pansypath · 17/11/2020 22:36

My dd is 9 and would love this. She likes face masks (99p for individual packet from Superdrug) and hair masks/conditioners and small bottles of things and she goes gaga for a cooling eye mask. M&S actually do nice things. Also Body Shop. All the supermarkets do too and she is young enough not to care about brand.

Pansypath · 17/11/2020 22:37

I am actually inspired to do the same for my dad now

caringcarer · 17/11/2020 22:54

You could get bath bombs, coloured lip gloss, fruity shampoo and conditioner, a face mask, hairbrush, hair slides/bobbles, nail varnish and remover, nail file and eyemask. Pack it all up in a small gift bag.

Bungle2 · 18/11/2020 21:59

Bath bombs also bring my girls up in a rash, as so any kind of exciting shower gels (marshmallow scent etc). Has anyone found any that are fun but gentle on the skin?

Pansypath · 18/11/2020 23:10

Dd. Not Dad. My Dad would not be so thrilled.

Lovemusic33 · 19/11/2020 07:56

Home bargains have flashing bath bombs and ones with toys in them. My DD’s like the bath powders from Emily Victoria (online) and their foaming bath sponges but they are a bit pricy. Body shop are now doing bath bombs.
