Christmas period meal planning

Would anyone like to join in/inspire me in my Christmas meal planning?

I've cleared out a freezer so we can get our shopping in bits rather than one big shop on the 23rd.

So far, I've got:

Christmas eve dinner - jerk rum ham with egg and chips

Christmas day breakfast -? Considering a christmas blend coffee though
Lunch - traditional roast turkey with ALL the trimmings (we eat around 1pm)
Dessert -?
Dinner - nice snacky buffet bits. Cheese and cold cuts, not sure what else? What are your must-haves?

Boxing day breakfast - maybe a fry up
Lunch - boxing day sandwich
Dinner -? Curry?

What kind of meals do you have between xmas and new year?

Joining in. DH bought a copy of BBC Food magazine earlier and there's some nice recipes in it.

Xmas Eve - Chinese including crispy duck

Xmas Day breakfast - bake at home pastries, coffee with caramel syrup,

Lunch - turkey and a veggie roast plus all the trimmings. Xmas pud with brandy butter, and a massive raspberry trifle.

Supper - baguettes stuffed with leftovers or cheese

Boxing Day - the Xmas ham, egg and home fries

Will also be well stocked with cheese and crackers, fruit cake and retro treats like Turkish delight, nuts in their shells and dates. Plus a refill of last year's Quality Street tin and a large glass bowl of Lindor.

And the contents of the cocktail cabinet of course.

Ooh , I always plan and write lists but sometimes it goes a bit off piste .

23rd (I am working) we'll have a take away

24th - breakfast -pancakes ( DC and me ) , toast+scrambled eggs (DH)
Lunch is fish fingers (DS) vegetarian grills for the rest, Triple Cooked Chips , salad

Christmas Day- croissants, coffee
Christmas Dinner after dark.. Chicken for DS , Quorn Roast for us . Roast potatoes , Yorkshire Puddings, loads of sides but no pigs in blankets .
Pudding if anyone wants it

Boxing Day - we have pizza , I put the dough on to prove and in the evening we shape , top and bake . Delicious .

On the other days , I'll make lasagne , lentil soup or Carrot&Coriander , nice bread .

Massive salad bowl with baked potatoes
Pasta and garlic bread

I've told the DC that they need to write some ideas of meals , things they want to do, TV programmes we can all watch, not just them hiding in their rooms and watching screens (they are adults , you can imagine how this is going down Xmas Grin ) but it's only a few days .
I am fine with cooking and shopping but they need to input . They days of it all being magical for tiny DC have past .

Christmas Eve
Lunch is Christmas ham bread rolls and salad.
Dinner is fish and chips followed by mince pies and cream/ice cream.

Christmas Day
Breakfast is cereal, fruit, croissants and pain au chocolat with coffee and fruit juice. Usually start on the champagne at about 10.
Lunch is no starter just straight into turkey with all the trimmings. Dessert is Christmas pudding/mince pie/Yuletide log/M&S salted caramel profiteroles with cream/ice cream and a couple of glasses white wine.
Dinner is pizza for the DC, cheese and crackers for DP and I. Dessert is left over Yuletide log, profiteroles or Christmas cake with a couple of glasses of red wine.
Baileys hot chocolate at bedtime.

Boxing Day
Breakfast are bacon and egg butties with coffee and fruit juice.
Lunch is picnic type food - sausage rolls, pork pies, quiche, salad and bread rolls. Any left over desserts from yesterday.
Dinner is shop bought steak pie and chips with apple or woodland pie for dessert with a couple of glasses of red wine.
Baileys hot chocolate at bedtime.

The next few days we have left over ham or turkey in sandwiches and salad, leftover picnic food and salad, and pizza for lunches. Dinners revert back to normal - fish, chicken, pork with chips/potatoes with veg or baked beans and yoghurts/mousses for desserts.

NYE we normally go out for dinner (keeping fingers crossed that’s still happening).
NYD
Breakfast is bacon and egg butties
Lunch is a roast, either pork or beef with Yorkshire puddings and the trimmings followed by a chocolate pudding and ice cream with a couple of glasses of wine.
Dinner is pizza.

23rd - macaroni cheese with my "famous ham" this is what ds calls it!
24th more famous ham Smile with buffet food (bread, dips, crisps, salad, olives, cheese and crackers, pork pie)
25th breakfast smoked salmon bagel or croissants and fruit salad
Lunch fishy starter from m&s, full Xmas Dinner at 1pm, Xmas pudding to finish
Tea turkey sarnies with leftover pigs in blankets
Boxing Day not sure, we usually have a family party and do curries cooked and frozen beforehand. Might stick with that but its not loved by the dc, they don't usually care about the food if they are with their cousins. It works well because I couldn't face gravy or more buffet food. Open to ideas though!!
