The best frozen puddings!

I'm stocking up the freezer this week for Xmas!

I've got the turkey, pigs in blankets, sausages, side dishes all sorted and now I'm moving onto puddings

It's for 4 people so not a huge amount needed but I do like a bit of choice!

Can easily pop to aldi, Lidl, Asda, Waitrose and Tesco over the next few weeks so plenty of options!

What do you all recommend?!

Mint viennetta
Aldi used to have a summer berries strudel with custard. (I’m type 2 now so don’t buy puddings often)

Oh vienetta would be great for the kids, I'm sure I've seen a lotus biscoff one advertised

I am praying that Iceland or Lidl will have their croquembouche kits. We have had them for several years. They look spectacular and are fun to construct.

superstar84 · 08/11/2020 17:50

Are they difficult to do?! Also how do you store it once it's made?

Ds is 8 and loves decorating cakes etc so that might be a good job for him!

Iceland and Asda both usually do a gorgeous Raspberry Eton Mess pudding with white chocolate chunks. We try and get it every year for Christmas dinner, it's the only pudding I've found that everyone loves!

Aldi has in a raspberry meringue stack that is delicious, we've bought (and eaten) it twice already!

SweetMilkyFilth · 08/11/2020 18:51

This one

Oh that Aldi one is going on the list!! Dd loves white chocolate

Have you tried their ferrero rocher style one? I'm tempted by that too!

Oh I've been eyeing that Aldi one up! Glad to hear it's yummy

I assume you mean the croquembouche. No, not difficult at all. The kit contains cardboards pieces which slot together also some liquid caramel with which you stick the profiteroles onto the framework, plus extra chocolate and sprinkles.I usually make it in the morning before it is to be eaten, but any left over profiteroles keep for a day or two. This photo does not do it justice, the sprinkles and little stars don’t dhow up.

M and s and Lidl sell lovely meringue roulades . The lemon curd one from m and s is particularly delicious
