How much chocolate/sweets/biscuits etc do you buy for Christmas for your household? There's 5 of us.
Do you go overboard?

I have loads of goodies stashed away that's probably gonna get added too even more.

This includes so far:
Stollen
Florentine's
After eights
Selection box of Fox's biscuits
Danish cookies
Chocolate fingers
X2 tubs of chocolates
Chocolate orange.

This will be added too I'm sure.

Probably quite a lot! So far I have stashed away ...

2 boxes of mint chocolates
Packet of mini toblerones
Tin of festive Oreos
Jar of Percys pigs
Tins of Percy pig biscuits
2 boxes mince pies
2 giant slabs of galaxy
After eight mints
Caramel fudge
I've ordered 3 desserts from m and s

And I'm probably only just warming up!

I buy Aldi/Lidl lebkuchen and speculaas for work coffee time in December. Previous colleague was a mini stollen addict, and we got in the habit of sharing Christmas treats all through October, November and December.
I don't buy more treats than usual for us to have at home in December, just different ones. I appreciate special Christmassy treats, but then I eat rather too much rubbish generally, so just swap jammy dodgers and crisps for Speculaas and Stilton the way we swap salads for stews. The festive friends are downright nasty this year - we usually eat a couple with a glass of baileys on quiet evenings, so will probably buy a box of shortbread or gingerbread instead. I like to make gingerbread biscuits to have Christmas week, and DM always gives us a little Christmas cake.
I buy treats as Christmas presents, usually a selection of little bits for the stockings, selection boxes or similar for our small nieces, and boxes of biscuits for DH's army of relatives. We get lots of sweets and biscuits back.
I've already started on the festive treats this year - I wanted to quality check the Cadbury hazelnut creme jingly bells, and so of course ate both bags. Have bought two more, but honestly, the chances of a bag making it into DSD's stocking are not high. I've not enjoyed Cadbury's chocolate for a few years now, I thought they'd be safe!

We buy a lot, DH has a sweet tooth 🤣 we buy all the tabs like heroes and quality street, after eight, famous names, baileys truffles, walnut whip, Turkish delight. Basically anything we wouldn't usually buy any other time of the year.

We bake a lot during December but I don’t buy any different chocolates apart from DD’s Nikolaus boot and then for Christmas itself.

I do buy Lebkuchen, Stollen and Spekelatius unless I really have lots of time to bake.

We buy normally the tree chocolate, Lindt Santa and chocolate balls and set it in a plate on the living room to be shared. It is refilled on a regular basis until NYE.

None of us likes the big chocolate tins.

Lol I forgot to add the kids will get a selection box. They've got a box of liquorice all sorts each also chocolate coins & pop tarts in stockings.

We've also got the Hotel Chocolat dipping adventure set (arriving today hopefully!) for Christmas Eve devouring.

Grin @MrsElf
I’ve been eyeing those up in the co op!
Don’t know wether to risk quality control or not now

Quality over quantity here. Hotel chocolat have good vegan options this year and I know DH has ordered a box for me. He gets a three month large box but prefers nice crackers and cheese over other cheaper chocolate.

I also get a vegankind snack subscription box around the 10th of the month and I still have some from last month and the month before and that's with sharing some with DH & DD.

DD (soon 18) will get some treats but has no idea how to self regulate them so I will have to give them out in stages.

Treats here a treat and therefore better appreciated.
