For dd1 who plays guitar, ukelele and keyboard?

Not sheet music, or guitar picks. Or earphones.

I'm a bit stumped Confused

A guitar tuner? Would work on the ukelele as well.

Moleskine manuscript notebook

I'd avoid treble clef earrings, treble clef photo frames, saxophone shaped CD rack, model flute. Musician's end up with tons of this sort of stuff over the years.

Last year I bought ds a small badge of a saxophone from Etsy. Not too expensive either so an ideal stocking filler.

NW2SW · 22/10/2020 14:40

A small Bluetooth speaker, if they have a phone/tablet. A lot of the small cheap ones are very good.

Time40 · 22/10/2020 14:42

A harmonica, ocarina or tin whistle?

Saisong · 22/10/2020 14:46

Mouth organ, ocarina, jew's harp, penny whistle.

Spotify subscription

TheWoollybacksWife · 22/10/2020 14:59

Guitar shaped USB stick?

DS plays electric guitar and bass. He goes through picks at the rate of knots so I've bought him his own pick cutter this year.

mushmellow · 22/10/2020 15:14

I bought these chopsticks for my son - www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00UDTY08Q/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?psc=1&tag=mumsnetforu03-21&ie=UTF8

You can get plectrum punches to cut them out of old credit /loyalty cards.

Pencil. Socks (eg www.musicroom.com/product/tiets11004/keyboard-swirl-socks-black-size-6-11.aspx)

Nanoblocks - lots of other places sell them but this has a picture of quite a lot

We got DS and his guitar teacher a guitar shaped pizza cutter last year from Amazon
This year they have personalised picks in a personalized leather pouch from Next

AdaColeman · 22/10/2020 18:44

Maracas
Light up tambourine

mumonthehill · 22/10/2020 18:48

Present indicative have music themed gifts, often a bit quirky but lovely.

Leeds2 · 22/10/2020 20:32

A few years ago, my daughter bought her music teacher (as part of the class Secret Santa, she drew him!) a pair of socks with a keyboard up the side. They were from one of those catalogues that you get through the door, and there were a few different ones available. Can't remember the name of the catalogue, but I am sure they are easily googleable!

Music cookie cutter - guitar, saxophone, table clef etc.

lucysmam · 22/10/2020 20:50

You're all fab; thank you so much! I'm spoiled for choice now.

She has a personalised guitar pick already but doesn't often use it. & we subscribe to Spotify for all of us too.

I'll check out everything else though (excpet the tambourine & maracas...I'm not sure my head would cope with those alongside the constant singing/other instruments Grin)

keyring pickholders are always popular

eroica · 23/10/2020 10:51

A decent harmonica rather than a novelty one will sound lovely not raucous.
We got DD a little electronic metronome for her stocking last year- it has a tuning note too (but for woodwind). It was about £9

Palavah · 23/10/2020 10:54

Tuning fork?

I used to detest receiving treble clef earrings, treble clef necklace etc. I want to make music not wear it.

PhantomErik · 23/10/2020 11:02

I've bought my DD who plays the piano a thumb piano (Kalimba). I've also bought a piano keyring which I'm making into a tree decoration with red ribbon.

DS plays the drums & last year he had personalised drum sticks which were really well received.

I was also tempted by a piano usb stick & a piano wallet but may save those ideas for after music exam treats.

flaminheck · 23/10/2020 11:11

A few years ago I bought a stylophone for about a fiver on ebay. All my children had great fun with it

5foot5 · 23/10/2020 14:44

A couple of years ago I got DH this T-shirt These are difficult times

He loves it and it has often got an appreciative response when he wears it in public. He describes it as his babe magnet shirt. He is 63!

ChillerKillerCroissant · 23/10/2020 14:46

My DD still uses a bag my sister bought her to carry her music and books around in for lessons, if your DD would use anything like that.
