Does your tree match your decor?

I know that sounds a bit poncey, I know people have bigger things to worry about right now... But I'd like to know if the baubles etc on your tree go with the room its in?

It's our second Christmas in this house, and we'd only just moved in last year, so didn't have any decor to speak of. Most of my decs, particularly my tree decs, are red/gold/silver, but my sitting room is predominantly jewel tones, deep pinks and purples with a little green and turquoise - the main feature of this is the full-length curtains the tree will be right in front of. Should I invest in some new baubles to avoid horrendous clashing? Or should I suck it up and embrace the mish-mash Christmas look?

Each decoration on my tree is sentimental or bought from another country. It all, not intentionally, goes together and fits well with my decor.

Not matched in the slightest. The decor in the living room is quite bland but the tree is full of colour!

Sadly our tree does match the decor. This, however, is unintentional. The decor is God awful and not our choice, we just haven't gone through the pain of sorting it out. Does look quite festive though.

No, definitely not, a room the colour of nice Christmas decorations would be totally insane and Christmas decorations the colour of a nice room wouldn't be Christmassy.

Probably best not to actually clash with the room it's in, but I thonk a tree that's obviously decorated to match the room it's in looks a bit tacky.

All the tree decorations have been collected from around the world and have huge sentimental memories. All colours, shapes and sizes - we’ve never considered whether they were the right colours for the room.

Sort of. If by that, you understand that by having EVERY colour is on the tree therefore by default some of them match 😁

It depends. We have a ahemeclectic tree full of memory baubles, dc crafts and tat. Early in the morning it goes with nothing but by evening it tones beautifully with the scattering of Lego, abandoned craftwork and pokemon cards on the floor.

Front room tree is mainly gold, silver and bronze, with stuff and individual decorations bought over the space of the last 10 years.

Then we have a rainbow and multicolored tree in the back room with all the kid made and sentimental things.

I used to have a neighbour who once asked me what colour tree we were having that year.

Er, green?

She used to buy a whole different coloured set for a large tree each year.
That was in addition to complaining of being hard up!
