Sorry if this has been done recently.
But wondered if we could share ideas/ new purchases for outdoor & window decorations.

I live in a corner house. And each room has two windows less than 1m wide so trying to find some sort of window/curtain lights is becoming a headache.
Also as were in the corner would I have to decorate all windows showing on the two sides?
Or could I get away with just doing the front of the house?

You can do whatever you like, it’s your house! Grin if the side won’t be seen as much then it’d be fine to just decorate the front.

Have you looked on festive-lights.com ? They have some nice curtain lights. We’ve had lights from them before and they’re good quality, better than ones from Amazon etc. Or maybe try a local garden centre?

I’m planning to just decorate with a single string of icicle lights across our guttering, and our tree will be in the window. I’d love to do some more outdoor decs but money’s tight this year.

Are you set on curtain lights? Hobbycraft has some lovely (and very cheap!) Christmas decorations.

I’ve ordered this set of 3 house tea light holders (just £5! Out of stock now, but will come back in), some bottlebrush trees, some fake snow and log slices to display them on to create something like the attached photo.

I’ll be using strings of copper micro fairy lights plus remote control LED tea lights inside the houses.

I also like their white ft window snow scenes. Tempted to put those in the upstairs windows. They just cut to size. Also out of stock, but will come back in.

A few years ago I bought cheap, plain fir wreaths, wound them with micro copper lights and hung them from the top of each window with a thick tartan ribbon. I have moved them to the internal doors now, but they looked lovely too.

Thank you so much for your replies
I'm not set on curtain lights, but thought they would be the easiest option.
I love that set from hobby craft I will definitely check out their website this afternoon. And garden Centres, we haven't got a local one, but is worth a shot when our new lockdown is over.
I love looking at others peoples houses at Christmas time, I just have no idea where to start with my own.
Some lovely ideas though so thank you.

How about a traditional candle arch in each window.

B&M have battery operated ones in red, white or wood for #5. I bought some years ago and they are still going strong. I have just bought some more for the rest of my windows. I put them up on the 1st Dec.

I found these great little window lights here at The Range for £3.99, they have stars and other shapes too. Might be a simple way to hit all those little windows (even if very slightly poncetastic compared with classic candle arches etc Grin) without faffing about trying to get strings of lights etc to work in the space.
