Looking for inspiration for little stocking filler gifts for DH. I have some nice chocs, some miniature gin, some eco friendly travel bits, a book. Any more ideas?
Thanks

Nice water bottle? Cufflinks?

KeithLeMonde · 16/10/2020 13:48

Multitool thing - either the credit card shaped ones you keep in your wallet or the ones like a chunky pen.

Whiskey stones if he likes whiskey

Artforartssake · 16/10/2020 13:49

Lightening charger key chain?

The Tile tracker?

HanPanPeg · 16/10/2020 13:53

Travel cup. I do stuff they will actually use - like deodorant and edibles.

Ninkanink · 16/10/2020 13:53

Well made, good looking bottle opener and corkscrew.

Bamboo socks, or cashmere socks.

Hip flask.

Leather belt/wallet.

A Lego man in his occupation/work clothes.

Favourite childhood sweets.

Artforartssake · 16/10/2020 13:54

NOTHS have a variety of leather car key fobs which can be personalized with initials

Milton Brown mini travel set (for when that is possible!)

Whisky miniature

My DH received a foldable magnifying glass with lights around the lense from a relative last year and he has found it incredibly useful to look at small print on medication boxes , food labelling and work documents.

MikeEhrmantraut · 16/10/2020 13:54

Whisky stones
Guitar plectrum/drumsticks/sporting paraphernalia dependent on hobbies
I usually do a ticketmaster gift voucher but probably not a great idea at the moment
Portable phone charger
Nice face cream which he won't ever buy for himself but likes using
Aeropress
Autoglyn bird poo removal wipes for the car
Nice scarf

Artforartssake · 16/10/2020 13:56

Molton not Milton!

And the LED magnifying glass was bought on Amazon apparently.

I missed the bird in there and thought wth does he do in the car!! Grin
RubyFakeLips · 16/10/2020 14:23

Depends what he's into surely? We do 'naice' stockings and things I've bought in the past include:

Pocket Moleskin Notebooks
Fancy Pens
Quality Phone Case
Monogrammed Socks and Hankies
Quality Shaving Brush and soap (I think Taylors of Bond Street or similar)
Personalised Stationery
Interesting food bits such as Truffle Oil, Fortnum's Picallili or Marmalade
Artisan Coffee
Leather Touchscreen Gloves
Monogrammed/Engraved Cocktail Glass
Aesop Hand Sanitiser which might be good in current times!

MikeEhrmantraut · 16/10/2020 15:12

@Ninkanink Grin it's his car, I guess it's none of my business really, just pop those in the glove box and let him get on with it Grin

I8toys · 16/10/2020 15:17

My husband hates tat - so the bird poo wipes and the magnifying glass are great for him.

He is a runner so I bought him a light up zip pull thingy for the dark.

Pansypath · 16/10/2020 15:25

Mine gets scratchcards, a novel, chocolate and a jar of truffles in oil from Ocado

Spam88 · 16/10/2020 15:42

Form card or sugru? I'm sure there's another similar one as well but the name has escaped me.

Leeds2 · 16/10/2020 17:36

A Chilly bottle.
Book of stamps.
Chopsticks.
Sudoku book.
Packet of pork scratchings.

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 17/10/2020 11:34

Mine loves nuts so one thing he’ll be getting is a massive bag of mixed nuts (£10) from Waitrose. And a nice bar or two of chocolate.

Apart from that, God knows - tat, gimmicks, and 99% of gadgets will be a complete waste of money for him.
Probably some nice bamboo socks though - he never buys any for himself.

Thank you! Autoglym Bird Poo Wipes ordered!Smile

Stamps is a great idea. He never has any and nicks mine every time!

HanPanPeg · 17/10/2020 14:20

I’ve definitely learnt to only buy stuff that will be used - even stuff that isn’t actually tat e.g. a magazine will end up floating around the house (unread!) for months and it drives me crazy!

Some great suggestions, thank you! Stamps and the mouldable eco plasticy things are on the list. He mentioned today how much he likes Lego. That's news to me but another stocking filler!

What's the budget and what phone does he have ? You could get him a premium smart watch.

Dailyhandtowelwash · 17/10/2020 20:23

Mine gets posh jam, bottle of beer, second hand paperback, hot sauce, cherry liqueurs. Some good ideas on here, thanks.

AuntyFungal · 17/10/2020 20:47

Key ring with his mobile number on it.

Cash name tapes with his mobile number on them.
OK, I have to sew them in but I was getting fed up with loss of numerous coats, umbrellas etc...

Are we sensing a theme here :-)

I know you said you have Chocolate but it’s not Christmas without chocolate coins.
