Stocking fillers for DH

Hi all

I love the Christmas board, but this is my first thread!

Ever since we’ve been together (15 years) myself and my DH have continued my childhood tradition of having a stocking full of presents in bed before coming downstairs to the bigger presents. The idea is that they should be around £5 or less and be something that the other person will like or use (i.e not random novelty stuff that will end up in the bin).

I don’t know if it’s baby brain but I feel like I’m hitting a wall this year. Here are examples of things I’ve bought in the past:
Gin miniatures
Posh coffee
Craft beer
Recipe books
Socks
Quiz things
Chocolate
Beer books
Grooming products
Nice pâtés etc

I wonder if anyone has any genius suggestions that I haven’t thought of. His interests are gaming (Xbox), coffee, gin, cooking/food, tech and we are expecting our first baby who is due in November so he will be a first time dad this year.

Can anyone help? 🥰

Love this thread! We do stockings too but DP always tends to do a better job than me as I'm more focused on the bigger presents so end rushing round last minute!

I normally end up just putting in necessity's and sweets!

I've got some great ideas from this thread so thank you everyone CakeCake

You can get nice quality glass coasters that you can put your own photo into. I got a lovely silver one that I am going to put a cross stitch in for my mum. Maybe you could put a picture of the baby in one for him or a lovely family photo.

I think I've also seen mouse mats that you can personalise with a photo, would make a nice gift. Not sure if that would be a bit more than £5 though.

We also do stockings, but always make the stocking things really posh version of everyday things so not within a £5 limit but often add a few knick knacks, my DH has quite a few similar interests and recent successes have been:

Oxo Goodgrips Mandolin
Set of Mini silicone spatulas
Stojo
Baker's Dusting Wand
Joseph & Joseph Pizza Cutter
Oxo Herb Stripping Comb
Mechanical Pencils
Multi Coloured Sharpies
Torx set
Moleskin pocket notebooks
'Very Short Introductions' Books
Bluetooth Shower Speaker

So far for dh stocking I’ve got his favourite shower gel & body spray.
Coffee bags
Favourite toffee
Hot sauce (god slayer)

Bags of nuts. Waitrose have a mega one of mixed nuts (no peanuts) for £10. One of those is def. going in dh’s stocking.

Thanks all! Some really good ideas here! Some that I've used before but also things I haven't thought of 👍🏻

The £5 is only a guide...it doesn't matter if it's over so I'll certainly check out some of the ideas that are over that price too.

I love some of the photo ideas, and we nearly used the baby vest from the second post for our pregnancy announcement, so that's a good shout!

I also do one for my dad...so and he's some difficult to buy for so will be using some ideas for his too 😍

I got DH for his first Father's Day this scratch off poster "100 things to do with Dad" so they've got a good list of things to do together to scratch off over the years

www.notonthehighstreet.com/giftrepublic/product/100-things-to-do-with-dad

DH's stocking fillers are usually:
Gin sweets
Happy socks
Elemis or Aesop toiletries
Beard oil
Beer or gin
Pj shorts
Boxer shorts
Sweets
Chocolate orange
Foodie bits from Fortnum & Mason (boxing pickle was a hit last year, truffle crisps, fancy sardine, etc)
