Need inspiration for DD, she'll be 3.7 at Xmas but want to know what people suggest for that age. She has a kitchen/bike/scuttlebug Smile what are you getting your DC around that age?

DS won't get all of this at once but his list includes:

Schleich animals/dinosaurs
WOW vehicles
GALT giant jigsaw puzzle
Copies of classic fairytales
Scratch art
Snap or other card game
Fossil and meteorite from UKGE website
Matey bubble bath Grin

ohidoliketobe · 04/10/2020 21:57

DD has just turned 4.
She's asked for chocolate lolly maker from the big man (easily achievable, £10 cheers amazon)
We've also got her
Wooden dolls house from asda £30
Random set of wooden dolls and furniture to go in it which was about £15 ebay
Baby doll and accessories
Little unicorn backpack from him bargains skilled with hair bands, head bands, lip balms, stickers

DD will be 3.5

We’ve got her a couple of play doh sets that she’s asked for from us, a unicorn dressing gown and slippers. We’ll also be getting a book, orchard game pjs and an outfit too.

Santa Claus present is undecided as she wants everything she sees at the minute Hmm. Will get her to write a short list nearer the time and get one from Santa and maybe another thing from us.

Stocking will be sweets, knickers, pens, stickers, chocolate Santa and a torch (she’s asked for one)

I know she’s getting a new doll from my DM and a barbie from another relative. There are several other relatives who will ask for ideas too, lots of inspiration on this thread for me to pass on!

Rapunzelrella my DD loves her kitchen and it’s played with most days. I can’t see her getting bored of it any time soon. It originally belonged to my nephew, and at 7 he will play with it with her still and without her when he thinks we aren’t looking

PinkJam · 05/10/2020 10:28

I think 4 is a perfect age for a play kitchen.

For my 4 year old we are getting

Winnie the Pooh jigsaw
Disney animator doll
Play doh set (haven’t chose which one yet)
Melissa and Doug pizza set

Then a couple of small and inexpensive bits for her stocking.

We are trying to to cut back this year as she has so many toys already and wider family buy quite a bit so it seems wasteful to buy too much and that she will outgrow before having time to properly play with them.

DD will be 3.5 and is getting:

Craft box
Hobbycraft colour-in shop
Fingerling
Geomag
Yet more kinetic sand
Lego
Wipe clean writing books
Clothes, pjs, jigsaw, books

Totally stuck on a main present for her but hoping something will pop up closer to the time.

Mine will be turning 4 at Christmas so this birthday/ Christmas list, he has lots of hand me downs so I feel like I'm struggling for ideas.

Camera- to save him nicking mine.
Watch
Marble run
Dinosaurs - either Lego or Playmobil
Scooter ? Might keep that idea a year.
Bean bag.

That might look a lot but really it's not by the time Grandparents and Aunties pluck things off it.

mamawithfive · 12/10/2020 19:49

My twins are going to have a kids tablet - they currently share a very old iPad that is on its last legs.
Then sticker books, colouring bits and some new stories - those bits will be to share.
Then their own pyjamas and a new barbie doll, and some accessories which will be to share.

Battenburg1978 · 13/10/2020 07:48

DD will be 4 just before Christmas and so far I am thinking:

Sylvanian or playmobil play set - (depending on what I can find a good offer on)
Large box basic building Lego
Clothes
Polarn PJs
Paw patrol bubble
Mighty pups bubble bath
Paw patrol knickers
Possibly a bike - I've yet to get DSDs old bike out of the shed to see if it will fit DD
Sticker book
Playdoh
Trainers

Great inspiration from this thread

Nearly forgot - dress up bits from flying tiger! Last year a £4 fairy dress up set was one of her favourite pressie so yesterday I picked up fairy wings in Tiger for £3!

DelurkingAJ · 13/10/2020 09:57

DS2 is 4.5. Last year he got a Kids Kindle which he adores and a Junior Lego as his big presents (got my DM to get him the case). This year he’s asked for Ninjago Lego and a camera (his older brother has a Kiddiezoom affair and he desperately wants one) and a scientific calculator (DS1 again has one, as do I for work...DS2 wants to push buttons and show DS1).

So I have a two year old (turning three in February) and a four year old (turned four in August) - both girls.

They are getting in their stocking:-
Petit collage magnet play scenes
Floss and rock water pen cards
Rex London rainbow scratch art
Polly pocket set each
Some bath stuff/ bamboo toothbrush/ face cloths/ bath crayons
Some watercolour pencils from cotton twist
Sticker book
Colouring books & sticker roll from Rachel Ellen
A 13 inch warmies unicorn (soft toy that goes in the microwave so like a hot water bottle)
Some picture books
Rainbow tights from next
A cheap tutu skirt from eBay
Fairy wings
A Djeco tinyly figure
The cutest personalised wooden mouse/squirrel in a tin from cotton twist - it has a book, teddy bear & cheese/acorn and a pillow and cover. Really sweet.

Main pressies
Lego friends set for the older one
Fake duplo peppa pig house set for younger one

I also found a cheaper version of sylvanian families on amazon called Lil woodzeez and so they chose a pressie for each other - one of them is getting the pink car with camper (£32) and the other the food truck (£35) they look great and so much cheaper!!!

goose1964 · 14/10/2020 20:05

We've bought DGS, 4 in feb, a robot that converts into a radio controlled car. After we bought it DD told us that he'd asked Santa for a robot😄

Bikingbear · 15/10/2020 08:41

Goose is that one of the vtech Switch n Go Dinos?

I'm really struggling this year for DS2, his ideas hes given me are helpful Hmm. A red helicopter and a blue dino.

Meanwhile the family are all looking at me asking for ideas for both Birthday and Christmas. First world problems I know but...

User07 · 15/10/2020 09:16

We have gone down the route of Lori dolls. They do some nice sets and are sturdy unlike playmobil which my 3 year old can find frustrating as they can be a bit delicate!

NerrSnerr · 15/10/2020 09:23

My 3 year old has asked for paw patrol toys, a train set and a new cushion. We'll also get him mario and Luigi soft toys, some books and a few other bits.

He already has a scooter, kitchen and balance bike so doesn't need anything 'big'.
