My DD is 4 and she has really been into toy story recently. She has said she is going to ask father Christmas for woody, buzz and jessie to which I was initially really happy about as I think they are great toys I had myself as a child. But then I saw the price for the talking ones she wants Blush
I have a 20% off code now. But she is going to school in September, I bet they will all be talking about things and she will change her mind! I like splitting the payments but I dont want to jump the gun. I really feel like she will change her mind she is honestly the most indecisive human I have ever met. That 'you can choose 1 toy from the gift shop because you have been good' situation honestly stresses her out!!
I love Christmas and I'm so excited this year as I'm pregnant due in October. So I'll be off with a new little one. I know it's all going to be different with covid but I still cant wait.
Am I jumping the gun? Should I just wait?

I think it depends on your child, when my DS was starting school he wanted the Paw Patrol Paw Patroller. Lots of people told me he would change his mind when he started school, but he never did. If she's prone to changing her mind maybe wait a bit?

They may not be the "in" thing that children will be talking about at school this year, as no film out.

I brought my DS Woody and Buzz a few years ago, they are awesome (more for me than him maybe, as I remember them from the first time around!)

From personal experience I would wait until she writes the letter to santa and asks for them. I've bought something for one of my two early on one time thinking he wouldn't change his mind and come the end of November he didn't want it anymore

It might be worth getting one or two of them as I'm sure she would still enjoy them. It's better to go for 1 or 2 things rather than a lot of items of the same character or theme in case they crave other things closer to the time.
I found at that age my son was still really happy to get toys he forgot about asking for Grin
The good news is toy story stuff tends to get reduced or put in offers at various times of the year as its popular and they bring out new products very year x

When my son was 5 he didn't want anything for xmas, I asked many times but nothing. I got him a bike and a few other bits. 5 days before xmas he proudly tells his nana he is getting a scooter as that is all he has asked for 🤦🏻‍♀️ mad panic, manager to get a scooter xmas eve!

Moral of the story, kids will always change their minds last minute 😂.

I think toy story dolls would be good, I don't think they would be outgrown very quickly either

If it's a big name toy that DC are mad into and have been for a while, go for it. I have just bought the old style LOL house, I've a feeling they may sell out and new one isn't as good.
You can always sell them if they change their mind.

Also I've found over the years that they have got more excited over things they have opened that weren't on their list.

One year my sons favourite presents were his new dressing gown and shark slippers 😂 neither were on his list

@justwinginglife1 my daughter did this last year! She was only 3 bless her so I think she was still a bit confused by everything. I suggested things to write and she was like yeah cool! Then a week before we met father Christmas at a garden centre and she said she wanted a baby Confused so i took her to the local toy shop and said which one do you want and I'll take a picture and send it to father Christmas Grin I asked her on Christmas day what she wants to call it and she said Mary!
